    1. I was engaged in Facebook but thought it was to stupid then deactivated my account. When I had my account I was on maybe once a week.

    2. A little bit, like turning on location services on the Apple Products it shows exactly where you are. That's just a safety issue. Also saying exactly what you just did.

3.People finding you such as Serial Killers, Creepers, People wanting to skin you (lol).

    4. You can find a lost friend on Facebook and talk to them. Also being able to find new friends.

    5. Absolute waste of time just text them or call them. All the Facebook Games are garbage

  2. 1. I have a facebook account but it's such a waste of time, you sit there playing farmville talking to friends... Some people do this all day! I don't get it.

    2. I think it can reveal too much information, but it depends on how much of your information you put on there.

    3. Sometimes people look for information about people on the web, so yes there are harmful effects on sharing information on social media websites.

    4. Sometimes when you sign up for a job they look at your facebook profile to make sure you are a good person to choose and things you do or post on facebook could effect the job your going for.

    5. I think facebook and other social media sites are stupid and a waste of time.

  3. 1. The social media I use is Facebook, and Instagram. I pretty much check my facebook everyday, but hardly post anything, and I check Instagram every once in a while and post maybe once a week.
    2. Yeah, some poeple post way to personal stuff and honestly I dont like facebook becuase so many people go on there just to complain about there lives and it makes facebook dumb.
    3. There could be people out there who stalk kids and could find out where they live and go to school.
    4. We have a tennis group and it makes it easy to send everyone information and plan events and stuff.
    5. I think it has its good and bad moments instagram>facebook

  4. 1) I usually engage in the Facebook and Youtube world these days. On average, I go on these sites everyday for about one hour.

    2) Yes, I think when people allow their information they share on Facebook to be publicly viewed, it's a huge mistake. People are able to see their personal information which may put their lives in jeopardy.

    3) Some potentially harmful effects caused from posting personal information about yourself on Facebook or Youtube could be people criticizing each other and making fun of people. Other things could be rumors being spread around about those people giving them a bad reputation.

    4) Good features of posting stuff on websites about yourself could be that family members could be updated about what you're doing.

    5) I think social media is good for those who want to communicate quickly with their close friends and family and share their daily thoughts and pictures about what they've been up to lately.

  5. 1. I go on Youtube and Facebook. I go on for about two hours a day.
    2. I know a lot of people that reveal way to much information about themselves on social media. I for one know that people can see everything that I post, so I mostly lurk on social media websites.
    3. The potential harmful after effects of sharing too much information on social media websites is that around a million people can figure out who you are in real life and where you live and what you ate for dinner last night and just about anything else you can think of.
    4. Some good features of social media websites is that they are a good way to keep up with old friends and family members that are across the globe from you. It is also a good way to share achievements that you have done and kind of show off your prowess in a subject.
    5. Social media is cool... But some people need to stop posting about everything. And people also need to do a little spell checking before they post.

    ReplyDelete
  6. 1. I use youtube sometimes.I don't do social media things, though. I just watch videos.

    2. Yeah. Some people might talk about too many personal things on facebook or whatnot. Some people might be telling others about how high they are. That's a pretty bad idea, since they could get caught.

    3. Sharing information on social networks could reveal a little bit too much about you and job employers could look you up and decide whether they'll hire you or not.

    4. Social medias can bring long lost friends together from other states based on things like where they lived or went to school.

    ReplyDelete
  7. 1.) I own a facebook, youtube and tumblr account. I go on the first two daily for several hours at a time, and go on tumblr about once a day, for about an hour.
2.) I think people reveal WAY to much about themselves on their social media accounts. People will go on facebook and post pictures of them smoking. Which is in itself illegal, but then anyone can see it which is just begging to get arrested. I personally, keep a large section of my life OUT of facebook or youtube or whatever. There are some things not everyone needs to know.
3.) Some of the bad things about sharing information on any website is somewhat setting yourself up for harassment in any form. Or kidnapping. When people post something from their phone, it says on their timeline where they were when they posted it. So any predator could go to that area and meet them there.
4.) Some of the good things about sharing things on social media is kind of bragging and more of sharing accomplishments. Like someone could say "YAY just got accepted into college", and then get feedback from friends saying how proud they are of that person.

  8. 1. I have a Face book and a you tube account I’m on the you tube a lot but have only used the Face book like 4 times since I got it in 8th grade

    2. Yes they do that picture is only one but police have caught multiple people after barging about their crimes on Face book. When you start face booking your crimes you've gone too far.

    3. The potential harm is that everyone has access to it a random person could know from your status where you are and when which is definitely not safe.

    4. The good side of social media is that you can reconnect with friends who live away and know what they’re doing without having to find a time when both of you can spare a few minutes to talk on the phone

    5. Im never on anything like face book or tumbler and I don’t feel like I’m missing anything at all.

    ReplyDelete
  9. 1. I do not engage in any form of social media.

    2. I feel others reveal an amount of information which is inappropriate for a public setting, but appropriate for a private setting. This is often in the form of conversations between couples or families which reveal person information which should not have been known by the general public.

    3. The potential effects of sharing information general include verbal attacks from others pertaining to opinions or the loss of privacy due to a given ability of others to access one's personal life.

    4. Social media allows people to stay in touch with old friends and have an alternative form of social life.

    ReplyDelete
  10. 1. I engage in facebook and instagram probably 3-4 times a week or if whenever I get bored.

    2. I feel that others reveal a lot of inappropriate stuff. Like pictures and others can tell where you are in a picture which is kind of harmfull.

    3. The harmfull part of revealing things on social sites is that some random guy can save it to there computer or find out there location.

    4. Some good features are you can interact with friends. And meet new friends. Play games and share a lot of interests that you have with people

    ReplyDelete
  11. 1. I have a Facebook and YouTube account and i go on there constantly mostly everyday.
    2. Yea sometime... I see a lot of inappropriate stuff , witch in my knowledge is an awful idea due to the amount of people that view Facebook at a certain time.
3.Well you hear horror stories of craigslist killers and examples like that are extremely rare... The main threats are how potential employers look at your Facebook and Google you.... so be careful what you put on the social media because that could limit your life in many ways.
4.I really don't see that many benefits other than catching up with people in your past

    ReplyDelete
  12. 1. I check Facebook like 4 or 5 times a week and occasionally I'll look up certain videos on youtube.

    2. Personally I try not to put too much information about myself on Facebook, but I think most other people put too much info on social websites. People will post pictures and statuses that can be considered inappropriate and can cause people to judge them. Sometimes people will even put their phone numbers and things like that on websites which can be fairly dangerous.

    3. The harmful effects are that potential employers will see it, anyone can access it, and that things that are posted can be things that you don't really want everyone to see which can cause things like bullying.

    4. Sharing info on social media websites can also be good as it can give you a place to express your opinions and it can give you the opportunity to stay in touch with friend that you would have otherwise forgotten about.

    ReplyDelete
  13. 1. I only use Facebook and Youtube, I refuse to do anything else so i dont get sucked into something pointless. i do however check Facebook multiple times a day.

    2. I dont because im paranoid but i know lots of people that are willing to drop their whole life story and i think thats just leverage people ca use on you.

    3. Getting stalked, robbed, anyone can know what you do and what you have if you tell everyone everything. and the minute you put it on the internet you are risking ANYONE seeing your stuff.

    4. If its safe, you could meet new people or arrange jobs and work. plus you can keep your family and friends updated on everything you do!

    5. ehh.. just watch your back and dont be giving out your address or area. and never post risky stuff either sexually or mean.

    ReplyDelete
  14. 1. I engage in several social media such as Facebook, Google plus, Twitch, YouTube, Vocal, Skype, twitter, and Steam everyday, although I am starting to limit myself to focus on school and other necessities.

    2. Yes, releasing personal information across the internet is never a good idea. Facebook, for an example displays personal information: name, sometimes
address, phone number, pictures, etc. If that gets out of hand, their are going to be big consequences.

    3. People you may not know or that may not like you, may want to harm you in some fashion. Facebook and other social media sites display to much information
which may cost you to have your information inappropriately shared.

    4. Innovated ideas, resources, live help, etc all are pros of social media websites. They allow the ease fo information at the tips of your fingers, makes intellectual evolution occur faster.

    5. I recently deleted most of my social media accounts to focus on school and other necessities because I found myself getting distracted.
The choice was extremely smart and I do not regret it.

    ReplyDelete
  15. 1. Facebook, I use Facebook everyday to catch up with friends and family. I also have Myspace and twitter for my FatalSYN things, but I usually use facebook or youtube.

    2. I tend to get carried away when it comes to this thing. Ive seen shows where people get fired for just complaining about their job!

    3. Lots of things can potentially hurt you because once its up there people can view it and give their opinions to it.

    4. There are several things you can do that is good. Like email a teacher or get work if you are absent.

    ReplyDelete
  16. 1) I use Facebook and YouTube , I use them absolutely all the time.

    2) I personally dont put much information on sites like facebook, but some people do, they put their address and phone number and things like that on facebook.

    3) If you put your personal information youre in line to get stalkers, hackers, and thieves. Basically anything could happen if you put out information like that

    4) You can talk to and make new friends through facebook and things like that, youre able to pass time and have fun on facebook and things like that.

  17. 1. Well dose Team Fortress 2 count as muti media? If so that is all I engage in.

    2. Some times yes, people can go over board with things. Iv'e said to much stuff before. Can't help myself i'm to shy to express my feelings. If you want to know the true me then chat with me online.

    3. Good features are things like entertainment and to get online with family members. Like my cousins that live in New York. If I had facebook I could keep in touch with them.

    5. I love muti media. Well my definition of muti media is online gaming.

    ReplyDelete
  18. 1. I use youtube a lot. I go there about every day to listen to music while I do home work.

    2. I think some people do put too much info about themselves. Some people put bad pictures on social media sites or they tell too much about their personal life.

    3. It's bad if you share too much information on the internet because other people could steal your identity, find out where you live, and creepy people might find you and kill you.

    4. Some good things about sharing is you can make new friends, share cool videos, play games with friends, and entertainment.

    5. I like to play fun games and look at fun videos on youtube.

    ReplyDelete
  19. 1. Facebook and Steam (if you count that). I'm not on Facebook for the average amount of time people are usually on Facebook but I do go on it every once in a while and I generally don't post anything. Steam I'm on pretty much everyday.

    2. Me not really. Once or twice I might have but I see other people talking about how they do drugs and stuff and I'm just thinking how nice thats going to look when they're trying to get a job.

    3. As I said before it could be hazardous to your future jobs and you could also reveal important things to undesirables.

    4. Its is a good way to keep in touch with people you haven't seen in a long time and people you are going to leave.

    ReplyDelete
  20. 1 I engage in facebook twitter instagram vine and soundcloud. I use them everyday.
2 I understand what is appropriate for social media but many kids talk about how they are hot shot partiers over this. It is not cool.
3 It can be problematic as in the future while trying to get a job this record is there of you, and it is a good idea to keep your social media record clean.
4 I like sharing on social media because it is a good way to stay in contact with my peers. That is what it all comes down to.

    ReplyDelete
  21. 1. i use Facebook about twice a day, but i am not to over obsessive about it, because i usually just check if i have notifications. It is safe to say im on Facebook everyday.
    2. I know i Dont reveal a lot of information but yes others do and i do see it, because they post pictures of parties and that gets them into a lot of trouble . They tag where they are at and people can easily search them down.
    3. You can get hacked and be cyber bullied or someone can hack into your ID and change your identity or steal your identity.
    4. Social media is a wonderful way to keep in touch with everyone and keep up with everyones lives.

    ReplyDelete
  22. 1.) Facebook almost everyday
2.)Yes I think a lot of people reveal a lot of things about themselves such as putting down phone numbers addresses and about every little thing there doing.
3.)I think some harmful things that can happen are people getting hacked or cyber bullied or go in your account and say stuff about you.
4.)Some positive features about social media is that it allows us to stay connected no matter what and we can stay in touch with the people we care about.

    ReplyDelete
  23. 1.) I don't use social media except youtube but i do have a Facebook. I never use it an when i figure out how to delete it i will.

2.) I do believe people share too much information like a phone number or sometimes a photo of their house or where they or going. Some people are crazy on social media to the point to where they take "bad" pictures of themselves.

3.) Well when you share any personal information there is a chance some thing will happen and it does like cyber bullying and hacking and more.

4.) Social media is good for finding friends and get in touch with people you don't get to see often.

    ReplyDelete
  24. 1.) I use Facebook and Youtube almost everyday and sometimes I go on Pinterest too, but not as often as the others.
2.) I don't put out much personal information but I have seen people post on Facebook saying stuff like "If your under 18 message me your number and I will text you." That is just people that I go to school with so yes I think some people put way too much personal information out but I also think people are using social media to meet complete strangers, which I think is wrong.
3.) There are lots of harmful effects like being hacked, bullied, and if people you dont know can see it you are at risk of people using your information to do bad things.
4.) Social media is mostly good for keeping in contact with people that you dont see often or can't because you live too far away from each. You don't have to talk to them all the time just for them to know whats going on in your life. There is also lots of entertainment that comes along with social media.

    ReplyDelete
  25. 1. I use facebook on-and-off, but browse youtube every day.

    2. Other people do tend to reveal too much information on websites. It's best to keep everything private, or not put up anything at all.

    3. There are a lot of things that could go wrong when putting your information online. You could be bullied, for instance. Someone could take and use your identity, as well.

    4. Social Media helps you keep updated, and keep people updated, without having to send letters, cards or e-mail. It's fast, instant, and easy to use.

    ReplyDelete
  26. 1. I only some times use Facebook one someone really needs to talk to me, but the other site I use would be YouTube or rarely twitter.

    2. Yes, and all the time. People always are talking about there life, sometimes when something goes wrong family related the release the info through a social media site...

    3. Just like the girl above how she made a video of her saying she stole a car and robbed a bank on a youtube video, you can do anything just like that and get the authorities on you.

    4. Some of the little good features are maybe you want to talk to a relative who lives all the way across the world from you, or you just want to chat with friends.

    5. I do believe that social media is nice, but it can turn extremely bad in some situations.

    ReplyDelete
  27. 1:I use facebook and Instagram a ton. I probably use those two social media sites everyday

2: Social media sites are called social media sites for a reason. They are made to list your information for others to view. A person from Egypt could find me on facebook its that easy.

3:People can easily find you if they know what they are doing. I try not to give out to much information for people to see but if you are a celebrity, good luck LOL.

4: A great example would be finding a long lost friend that you have not talked to in a really long time. Also, if you play on a sports team your coach can make a page for his players and write on it daily for his team to look at.

5: I WANT SOCIAL MEDIA TO BE AVAILABLE IN SCHOOLS. PERIOD :)

    ReplyDelete
  28. 1. I use Skype and Steam almost every day, I have never really been a fan of Facebook or Twitter.
    2. Definitely. People are way too confident with their privacy. They will share anything from recent relationships to serious family problems.
    3. Potential bad things about sharing any info is that people will take that information, turn it against you, and bully you. Make sure that what you are sharing is censored, appropriate, and not private. People will find any excuse to make fun of you.
    4. You can make new friends, talk to your current friends, entertainment, but mainly communication.
    5. Social media is awesome. However, you have to be sure you are using it wisely, properly, and responsibly.

    ReplyDelete
  29. 1. I check my Facebook every day. Mainly because I have a smart phone so it is easier to access.

    2. I believe that people become obsessed with these social networking places because they simply want attention and places like Facebook, twitter, ext.. give them this "much needed" attention.

    3. You could potentially open yourself to things like identity fraud or something harmful that has to do with someone stalking you.

    4. It helps friends stay connected as well as gives people that become depressed from no attention to over come their sadness through "likes".

    5. I believe that people can take things way too far. I actually had an ex-girlfriend of mine that had a boyfriend who messaged me wanting to fight and believe me when i say i could literally break him in two. My point is that social media networks give people a certain type of "confidence" that can get some people in big trouble.

    ReplyDelete

  31. 1. Twitter all the time, sometimes sites like Turntable.fm, ask.fm, Facebook sometimes.

    2. Yes, I've seen people incidentally give out their credit card number when sharing a photo of it on Twitter or Instagram.

    3. Like I mentioned above, Identity thieves, sexual predators, and even advertisers can reach you or access your information.

    4. You can meet new people, as well as stay in touch with old friends. In fact, plenty of my best friends are people I met online.

    ReplyDelete
  32. 1) I engage in Facebook and Tumblr every day.

    2) Yes. I am incredibly careful, but I know friends who post their phone numbers on statuses where everyone can see their phone number. That is not safe.

    3) First of all, while you may tell the truth, there are others that might be lying to you about gender, age, etc. In result of that, you will be in extra danger.

    4) We know more around the world. whether it's bad or good news.

    ReplyDelete
  33. 1. I probably get on Facebook at least once a day, Instagram maybe twice a week.

    2. One of the stupidest things I have seen on Facebook is when people get their license or permit and then post a picture of it. Instantly at least 500 people now know where that person lives and everything about them. I'm extremely careful when I use social media to share stuff, I make sure that what I post isn't taken incorrectly by people that i'm friends with.

    3. Whats put on the internet stays on the internet, it can never be fully erased. Theres always the chance that someone could see on facebook "hey im going to Hawaii, see you in three weeks" and boom now a robber knows that there is an empty house for three weeks. This is stuff teens don't think about.

    4. Social media is awesome for sharing anything, from a cool song to a delicious recipe. People can use it to group message friends, create a cause, or change the world.

    5. Social media is like everything, its going to have its ups and downs.

    ReplyDelete
  34. 1. I dont use social media.

    2. I believe people give out to much information and that there are a ton of untrustworthy people on social media. some people give out there phone numbers or social security to people who want to take them.

    3. people can find out who you are and ruin you life. They can steal you personal stuff or money. Also it is impossible to tack off when you submit that info.

    4. you can tell people about your accomplishments or when your birthday is. you can talk to your friends easily.

    5. social media is alright but it is not secure enough and it s easy to get robbed of your identity. I personally wont use it until it becomes a safer environment.

    ReplyDelete
  35. 1.) I really use Facebook about 5 times a week.

2.) I think people give a lot of info. and not to much privacy.

3.) I don't put things about me on the internet and im very careful about what im posting.

4.) You can post pics and birthday. and communicate with friends.

5.) I think social media is good for those who want to communicate quickly with their close friends and family and share their daily thoughts and pictures about what they've been up to lately.

    ReplyDelete
  36. 1. Facebook, YouTube, Google + (Am I the only one who uses Google +?), Etsy, KickStarter, Yahoo, Twitter, thewindowsclub, and half the forums in the world all the time.

    2. Me, no. Others, yes. I have seen people post their phone numbers publicly.

    3. Future employers might see the information you let out.

    4. If it is private it can be good for communication especially for group events.

    ReplyDelete
  37. 1.) I frequent Twitter and Youtube, as well as Facebook. I visit all of them at least twice a day for 45 minutes at least.

2.) I post no personal stuff on any site, but i do see how others are very revealing with their social stuff. Every day i see people post personal information and pictures of them doing stupid things and even their credit card numbers!

3.) Future employers could definitely use your social media as a way of judging your character and things like that.

4.) This is a great way of connecting distant friends and organizing social events.

  39. 1. I use tumblr at least once every two days, twitter everyday, facebook everyday, snapchat once every three days, youtube everyday.

    2. People do that ALL THE TIME. they put their address, numbers, and tons of other personal information.

    3. People can find you and contact you and possibly even hurt you. Like the craigslist killer.

    4. Good with reconnecting with old friends and finding new ones, you just need to be careful.
