4. Tablets

Let's take a look at new tech out there!

Specifically what is going on in the tablet market.

Research:

1.  Based on what you read, what is the best tablet out there?  What criteria are you using to make a decision?   Price?   Features?   Design?  Functionality?

2.  Which tablet do you think is most popular for kids?  For older adults?  Why?

3.  What five apps do you think are the best to get on a tablet right away... for YOU?

4.  What five apps would you recommend an adult get on their tablet right away?

(Where do you think I'm going with this .... ?)

  2. 1. I think the Samsung tab s2 is the best tablet currently because it is very and is good at multitasking, but it cost more than 400$
    2. I believe the iPad air 2 is the most popular for adults because apple already has a good reputation and its simple. And for the younger crowd Android tablets since its more customizable and it's easier to get free items.
    3. I funny, google drive, google docs, youtube, and also clash of clans.
    4. Google drive, google docs, Spotify, a news application, and probably YouTube.
    5. We are probably gonna do something with tablets soon

  4. 1. The iPad I definitely would think is the best tablet, not just because its apple (not a big fan of apple) but I personally have an iPad and I think it works well even if it is a little outdated compared to the other tablets. It functions really well and its really clean and simple to use.
    2. The most popular tablet in my opinion is also the iPad, I've only rarely seen other people with a different tablet besides the iPad.
    3. The best 5 apps in my opinion are some useful apps and some games, just to have fun. The best five apps would be iFunny, Instagram, Youtube, Vine, and Spotify.
    4. I would recommend for adults the apps Nike +, Skype, Facebook, Gmail, and Netflix.
    5. To use one of these tablets and apps effectively in class.

  5. 1. Within the current range of tablets, I would say that the best one is the iPad mini 3. The reason I chose this is because Apple has the biggest app store available. It would appeal to a larger audience because of this. I prefer the mini to the iPad Air because the mini is smaller and faster as well as the fact that for the same price as a 16GB iPad Air, you can a 64GB iPad Mini 3. Also, it is in a good price range for its services. If you wanted something more minimalistic, you could easily go with a Samsung or Amazon tablet. However, the best is the iPad Mini 3
    2. I think that overall, young or old, the most popular tablets are the iPad and iPad mini. I believe the reason behind it is that it offers so many different apps that it can be used for whatever they want. If you want to solely watch movies and videos, you could get a 128GB iPad air. If you want something to use for work that isn’t too heavy and big, get a iPad mini.
    3. iFunny, Netflix, 7 Little Words, 1010!, and YouTube
    4. Facebook, Evernote, Gmail, Amazon, and Google News

I can only hope that we will either get to work with tablets or make an app.

    2. the apple iPad is the most popular with kid and adults because it is simple to use

3.YouTube, Facebook, vine, manga 360, and Instagram

  7. 1.) The iPad Air 2. It is very sleek and light, and the interface on the OS is very simple to use, anyone could figure it out. It's priced at $399.99 which is pretty expensive for a lot of the tablets that are out there, but it is definitely worth it. If you treat it well, it will last a very long time.

2.) The iPad is definitely the most popular now. Apple is such a popular company that when you think tablets, you think iPads. Of course there are competitors, but Apple was the first company to start the tablet trend.

3.) I only have an iPad, but I can't install any apps on it because it used to be the tablet of the company my dad worked for, and they said he could have it after they quit. But it has a password on it so I can't install anything without it, and the tech guy that set up the iPads quit, and now they lost all track of it. I can't even go to the Apple store factory reset it without something that proves that I own it.
But I guess the apps id use would be YouTube, Skype, Pandora, and probably some games.

4.) I think everyone needs to have YouTube, Pandora, Skype, a form of social media, mail, and tools (calculators, translators, etc).

  8. 1) Based on what I read, I believe that the best tablet on the market is the Microsoft Surface 3. Not only is the price of this tablet marvelous but it is also packed with features inside and out with a fully functional operating system and keyboard.

    2) I think that a popular choice among all age groups would be the IPad, not because it is objectively the best tablet on the market, but because it came at the correct time, unlike the first Microsoft tablets in the early 2000s, and the overload of marketing for the device.

    3) For my personal interests, I would probably get a dictionary app, a conversion app, and the Infinite Campus app for educational purposes because I am always scrambling for a quick definition or conversion. I would also obtain a small game app like Fruit Ninja or Angry Birds. Last but not least, I would get a social media app for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.

4)For adults I would recommend any apps relating to your career such as LinkedIn, games for leisure like Angry Birds(my dad loves this game and uses it to relieve stress), any social media apps like Facebook, as well as a scientific calculator app, if it is not included, and a dictionary app.

  9. 1. The Sony Xperia Z4 is a much more expensive than most tablets out there. But its a 10-inch waterproof/dustproof screen and runs on the android system. Its got some other cool little features like instantly opening Spotify when you plug in your headphones. And has a keyboard.

    2. I think for children the iPad is the most popular, its incredible easy to use runs all their favorite games and videos with ease. Adults, have more variety. For the casual tablet user Apple is probably the most likely pick. However when it comes to someone who is using their tablet for work, the Asus transformer.

    3. If I got a tablet I would immediately get Hearthstone on it. I play on my phone but the screen is too small and runs out of battery so quick. With a tablet it would be so much better

    4. For a working adult they would probably need Skype and google drive on your tablet to work on documents and communicate with co-workers.

  10. 1. I think that the Surface Pro 3 is the best because it is a tablet and a computer all at once. It has a price of $500 and with can connect to an attachable keyboard that can be bought for $130. It is the best decision if you can't decide between a laptop or a tablet.

    2. I think that the Nvidia Shield Tablet is the best for kids because kids these days like to play video games and it comes with a controller so that is a bonus. I also think that it is great for adults too because it is portable and is place at a reasonable price.

    3. I think that the best apps to get on a tablet right away is: ifunny, Instagram, YouTube, Spotify, and N.O.V.A. 3 because they are in every category. Social Media, Comedy, Videos, Music, and fun games.

    4. For adults, I would recommend Facebook, Google Chrome, ifunny, Spotify, and Netflix. They all fall in the right categories with the needs for everyday. Internet, Comedy, Music, and Movies.

    5. We are either going to learn how to use different kinds of tablets or we are going to learn how to make apps.

  12. 1. I think that the ipad air 2 by apple is the best cause it is a wonderful size the price is around but Apple quality does comes at a price. Wi-Fi only tablets with 16 GB of internal storage start at $499, 64 GB models from $599 and 128 GB devices are $699. Adding LTE to the iPad Air 2 will set you back another $130.

2.I think that the ipad air 2 would be the best for children for they are faster lighter have a larger game variety. Also they have much larger storage varieties.

    3. I think that the best apps to get on a tablet right away is ifunny, Instagram, YouTube, Vine, and Clash of clans. Cause they are all my favorite apps.

    4. I think that the best apps to get on a tablet right away is, Instagram, YouTube, Spotify, Facebook and Twitter.
Cause they are all the most downloaded apps and also the most used worldwide.

    5. We can possibly be able to play around and get more experience with tablets and maybe app maker.

  13. 1.according to a list i read the best tablet was the google nexus 7 but seeing as i haven't used any of them its hard to make a choice as to which tablet is the best so i'll assume that it is the google nexus7.

    2. the tablet that i think is the most popular is the ipad air because apple has the largest consumer rate.it also is the most advertised out of all the tablets

    3. the five apps i would download first are probably twitch, pandora, youtube, agar.io, and facebook. i choose these apps because i already use them almost every day.

  15. 1. I think the I pad is the best produce out their because I see lots of kids think it the best which it is I never had a I pad before But maybe I might think about it to buy one. But this Table best suits in video games and watching videos on YouTube and it has a best price which is about $ 300-400 dollars.

    2. I think the best table out their is the I pad which makes it better to use and it's easy.

    3. I think the best apps out their are YouTube, Facebook, Social Media, Comedy, Music and really fun Games.

    4. Translate, Gmail, YouTube, Skype, and FaceBook.

    5. Probably something to do with the table and getting them.

  16. 1. I would have to say that the best tablet out there at this moment is the Microsoft Surface Pro 3. Its both a tablet AND a laptop, a two in one. With the power of a laptop and a tablet, it has the power to fill any roll for just about anyone. The only problem is it's a bit pricy and the battery life is a little low.

    2. The most popular for kids would have to be the Nvidia Shield Tablet, its the gaming king, in terms of tablets that is. It has the power of a gaming laptop in the portability of a tablet. For olders adults, I would say, would be the iPad mini 2. Its smaller and more portable than most other tablets, It's very cheap and its negatives are less apparent to an older crowd.

    3. The 5 best apps for me would have to be, google chrome, Youtube, Minecraft (Its my nerd app), the dictionary.com app, and finally Netfex.

4.I would say, well, google chrome because its the best such engin. Youtube, for all there moble video needs. Netflex if they have but it already, as well as feedly for news reading, and on the topic CNN.

  17. 1. I've been looking at the extremely expensive ($650) Galaxy Note Pro and I can say that it looks like it is the best tablet out there. I think its functionality and design make it the best since it is simple, but super fast tablet and can hold 32 GB of storage. Some reviews say it is like having a computer in your hands and may make you start using it as your main computer. It also works with a number of apps which allow it to be more like a mini computer. Some apps include word and power point.

    2. I'm sure someone has already said this, but the Nvidia Shield Tablet looks like it would be the best for kids. Mainly because it can play games and comes with a controller, but also because it is very nice and has great picture. I think older adults would like the Amazon Fire HD 7 moreover than the Nvidia just because they can use it more for books and streaming, I know my mom likes it :/.

    3. Five apps I would get immediately are Google Chrome, YouTube, Twitch, Skype, and some fun game I'm not sure which though.

    4. I would say an adult should get Google Chrome, Skype, Netflix, Google Drive, and maybe a radio app.

It seems like we might be working with tablets soon and learning about them. That's probably why this blog came to be.

  18. 1. Although pricey, the Surface Pro 2-1 is best. Just for multiple functions and access. Ok battery life and like most laptops does get hot. But has tons of storage for all of your work and relaxation needs.

    2. For kids it would be recommended to use something that parents can put a whole lot of restrictions on. Sure the internet is great and innovating. There are still horrible and lewd places out there on the internet that kids really don't need to see. So something like a Kindle, that can be restricted easily. For adults a 2-1 Surface pro. The surface pro can both be a laptop and a table. As they say. "The work of a laptop, the fun of a table."

    3. The ones I'd get right away. Youtube, Skype, Kik, Downloader, and Fantasica. (Fantasica is a game that I made $100 off of from rare items in game.)

    4. For an Adult, Skype, An alternative messenger app. (Such as Kik, Snapchat, etc.), Google docs, iMove, Youtube. iMove and youtube work together if you're making a video for work or a presentation of some sort.

  19. 1. The best tablet for me would be the iPad Air 2. The screen size is perfect for all apps, while not killing the battery right away. This is not something you put in your pocket, so since you won't be using it much the IOS software is perfect as it takes no time to learn or set up.

    2. I think that the iPad Air 2 would be best for kids as well as adults because it is simple to use, has great in-store tech support, and looks very nice. It has a pretty long battery life for being something that won't take heavy usage, unless it is shared throughout the family during the day.

    3. Since a tablet is basically a computer screen size, my favorite apps would be: Minecraft, Google, Youtube, Netflix, and TruTV.

    4. The five apps I recommend for an adult getting into an iPad is: Gmail, Google, Youtube, and a banking app. These are all apps that work best on a bigger screen.

    ReplyDelete
  20. 1) The tablet that i think is best is the Samsung Galaxy Tab S. The 10.5 inch screen would be perfect for gaming and videos and you could depend on the battery to hold up your videos and games.

    2) I feel like the same Galaxy Tab S would be great for kids because of the available kids mode feature. This feature lets the owner hand pick apps appropriate for kids and has other activities available to the kid.

    3) For me, the first apps i would download on my tablet would be Minecraft, Youtube, Netflix, Spotify, Pandora, and my social media such as Facebook, Snapchat, Kik, etc.

    4) Some apps I would recommend to an adult would have to be Gmail, Pandora, Google, Youtube, and Netflix.

    ReplyDelete
  21. 1). I would made my decision on the price, features, and functionality.

    2) I think Yalla Tablets should be popular among kids because it has good resolution, graphics, features, and its a have dual cord processor and it fulfills the needs of the kids.... Wow that rhymes. And for the adults Ipad Air 2 should be popular as it is taking over the Tablets market.

3). I would like to have Chrome, Facebook, YouTube, Netflix, and atleast 1 game that dont need internet.

4). I think adults would like to have Web-browser depending on the device, YouTube, Netflix, Online Tv Show app, and Online News App.

I dont know where you are going with this

  22. 1. What I think is the best tablet out there is maybe the Nvidia Shield. Mainly because that bad boy is strong enough to play games and has really great load time. Just think.. Since it can load great games im pretty sure it can load many multiple programs that you need for schools. The pricing maybe be a really high mark but this tablet will get the job done. Some cool things about this, is that it has a mini controller for your games! But of course this has a downside. This tablet is not as much portable as the first. Its a bit bulky and big cause of the controller but it's still a great over powered tablet. The design is just a normal tablet look with a 8.9 inch screen and a resolution of 1535 x 2048. So thats pretty great for a tablet!
    2. The best one for kids in my opinions would be the iPad mini. Mainly because of its simple design and its simple OS it has. Plus there are plenty of cases out there to choose from.
    3. The best apps for me on a tablet would be Google Chrome, Maps, Music, Games, and e-mail just in case you need to check it on the go.
    4. I would highly recommend; Chrome (for internet), NetFlix (for chill on the go), e-mail, and maybe oovoo for the video calls.

    ReplyDelete
  23. 1. Peronal opinion of best tablet is the samsungs, i own one myself and i can say that it is super sturdy and has the ability to play some of the most advanced games on google play.
    2. The samsung is great for kids due to its sturdyness and how it works, children easily enjoy having it around
    3. some of the best apps are that catch my attention is like a google play which tells me it runs off android, next is a working internet app, you know google and Firefox, Maps so it can be on the go kind of dealio and last of course is the email all apps need an email nowadays.
    4. i would recommend for an adult is Email for the go, some movie/ Television service, a few games, a skype like thing or oovoo, and last a calendar with a alarm.

  24. 1. Based on what I read, I would have to say that the best tablet out there that I saw is the iPad Air 2. This decision is based on the design of it and the functionality. The tablet is very sleek and light, making it very portable and easy to hold while using it. The functionality is also great. With the Apple app store, there are countless apps for hundreds of purposes that can all be used on the iPad Air 2. The processing power allows for all of the apps to work with barely any problems showing up.

    2. I think the most popular tablet among kids is any iPad. This is because Apple has made the iPads capable of playing games on them without any lag or problems. The touch screen is very responsive, and kids like this for games. Also, Apple has become a popular name brand to have and it works like a bandwagon. I think the most popular tablet among adults is probably the iPad as well. This is because of how simple the tablet is to learn. Adults are often annoyed with trying to learn about new technology, and the iPad makes it easy to do what needs to be done for them. Also, it is one of the most well-known tablets out there.

    3. I would get Spotify, iFunny, Skype, Playstation companion app, YouTube.

    4. I would recommend Spotify/Pandora, Gmail. Facebook, YouTube, and any game they enjoy passing the time with.

    ReplyDelete
  25. 1. Based on what I read I would say for gaming I would say the Nvidia Shield, but with functionality I would have to say the Surface Pro 3. The Surface Pro 3 may be expensive, but it makes up features. The Surface Pro is basically a computer in a laptop. It has a good processor and good ram. You can run normal tablet applications, but also computer applications. It also has a lot of storage and a pretty good display at 12 inches. The Surface Pro is perfect for people who need a tablet and a computer.

    2. The most popular tablet among kids would be an iPad. As they are probably the most popular device with kids these days. The iPad also has a lot of games on the app store. For adults I have to say if you are in business I would say the Surface Pro 3 as it is a tablet and a computer combined. For home/personal use I would say the iPad as it's easy to learn, has an easy interface, and is simple to use.

    3. The apps I would get would be Kik, Gmail, Twitter, Youtube, and Skype

    4. For adults I would recommend Gmail, Skype, Youtube, Google maps, and netflix

I think we are going to look at some tables and their features.

    ReplyDelete
  26. 1.) I feel like the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 is the best tablet to go for and that reason being because not only is it appropiately priced (229$), but i feel like the overall features of the tablet is amazing. Some of the great features the Galaxy tab 4 has is that it runs on Androids 4.4.2 which is the Kit Kat software, and its probably upgradable to 5.1 Lollipop but if you want something simple and very easy to use go for the IPad Air models. But expect higher prices

2.)I feel that the most popular tablet for kids would be the IPad, and that reason being because its simple and just to go with the hype of having apple not even knowing anout the device just kind of bandwagoning it.And adults, hands down I have to say IPad because again, as being an adult in an advancing technological world they try to go for the simplest thing out there and what do people 99.9% of the time recommend.Yes, you guessed it, an IPad of course because of the simplicity of the device.

3.) The five apps i would get right away are V Share because you can have free downloads on apps. Also, messenger just in case im i the house and my phone is dead or something like that.Vine, skype, and of course YouTube to watch videos on a bigger screen

4.)If they like music i would probably tell them to download soundcloud or spotify. Also since Facebook is infected with adults i would tell them to dowmnload that and also adobe because they can download something using PDF and edit what they just downloaded. And lastly probably messenger so that they can get the messages quicker

    ReplyDelete
  27. 1.) In my opinion the best tablet would really be between 2, which would be either the Dell Venue 8700 or the Nvidia Shield Tablet, for various reasons. The Venue because it’s a tablet that’s mainly focuses on Photography, which I would find quite useful for this year, and the Shield because it is primarily a gaming tablet, though it is significantly more expensive than the other.
2.) Probably the iPad because in most ways it’s simple to get the hang of and easy to use for both kids and adults.
3.) The apps that I would get instantly would be WordWeb in case I come across a word I don’t really know and need it defined, TED, because I enjoy seeing them from time to time, some form of internet so I can do things on that without using my laptop, possibly Youtube or Netflix, and then probably a GMail app so I’m not restricted to my laptop for that as well.
4.) Probably some form of social media app like Facebook or something, probably a news app of sorts, video or gaming app for entertainment, also possibly an ebook app for reading and such.

    ReplyDelete
  28. 1. The best tablet out there right now seems to be the Apple ipad air 2 but of course it is expensive which makes the Samsung galaxy tab s2 a close second.

    2. I think the Microsoft Suface pro 3 is the best tablet for both kids and adults. This is because the kids will like it because it can be used as a computer and as a tablet which gives it more capability than other tablets and also you can draw on it which is nice for kids. For the adults, again it is nice because it can be mobile and stationary which is always nice. Also it does look very nice.

    3. Youtube, twitter, pandora, kik, and Adobe PS express

    4. youtube, facebook, skype, netflix, and gmail

    ReplyDelete
  29. 1.) The best tablet out there is the iPad air 2.It's fast, reliable, and easy to use,but the only downfall of this tablet is its $400.

2.) I think that the iPad air 2 is the best tablet for adults and kids. Its fast processor makes it a favorite of many and its display is great for games. The best feature has to be the battery life with a standard 10 hours. Its ease of use is the second best thing its simple, nice looking, and functional.

    3.) YouTube,Facebook,Netflix,Clash Of Clans,and Agar.io

    4.) YouTube,Gmail,Twitter,Netflix,Instagram

    ReplyDelete
  30. 1.) My personal choice would be an Ipad mini, or a Nvida shield, the ipad mini, for its small, easily handled and portable size, I would choose a Nvida shield, for its ability to run demanding programs, such as high quality games

2.) I think that an ipad would be suitible for younger users, because of its simple interface. A surface pro 3 would be more suitible for adults, since it is also a laptop, which can be used for work.

3.) Personally the five apps i would get instantly would be:Youtube, Kik, Google, Skype, Soundcloud/spotify,

4.) I would recommend an adult get the apps: Google, skype, Youtube, Gmail, Soundcloud/Spotify

  31. 1.From what I read, the Acer Predator 8 is the best choice in tablets currently available due to its stylistic design choice, moderately powerful hardware, and an appropriate price of $299.99

2.I’d say the Galaxy Tab tablet series is most popular for kids as they are abundant and significantly cheaper than Apple iPads. They are also commonly thrown in for free for either signing for or renewing a 2 year contract with your cellular service provider.

    3. I would get Youtube, Couchtuner, Hearthstone, Tetris, and likely a ROM emulator of some sort.

    4. I would recommend an adult get Facebook, Skype, email, Pandora or Spotify, and a PDF workstation for business.

    ReplyDelete
  32. 1. Based on what I have read, I found the Windows Surface Pro 3 to be the best tablet. I am using the criteria of reviews and expirences with this product. This device is currently $1,800.00. The features to this device of far beyond what it looks like. This device can help manage buisnesses with no problem. It currently runs a i7 Processor with 1.7Ghz to help with any of the graphical designing or buisness ownership. The design scales around 1.76 pounds with a stand and attachable surface pen.
    2. I found the Sony Xperia Z2 to be the best tablet for kids. I would also recommend the Windows Surface Pro 3 to be the best tablet for adults also due to how it performs and the accessibility you can have on it. The Sony Xperia Z2 is the best for kids due to the waterproof capabiity and how its able to with stand being in water.
    3. Personally, I would get Soundcloud, Twitter, Youtube, Twitch and Facebook.
    4. Top 5 apps I would recommend are in a catagory of buisness. Adobe Acrobat Reader would be the most necassary to help with documents and anything that involves papers.

  33. 1) I think the kindle fire HD 6 it comes with many different games, apps, books, movies, shows for kids its also good for adults because it is a very good price for only $50 - $75 and it is really good quality it also comes with a camera witch is good quality for the price. the app store is amazon. it is thin and about 6 inch across and 8 inch up and down its big enough to fit in your pocket.

    2) in my opinion I think the kindle fire HD 6 is good for kids and adults because is has parental controls it also has a timer so you can choose how long you want your child to be on the tablet.

    3) the first apps I would put on the tablet are defiantly facebook, kik, Skype, twitter, and Spotify

    4) I would recommend putting facebook, Pandora, pintrest, and Netflix

  35. 1. The best tablet out there seems to be the Galaxy Tab S because of its competitive price, large great screen, and great specs. However, if taking pictures is very important in a tablet, one of the other tablets should be considered since this one only has 2.1 megapixels, not exactly a lot!
    2. The best tablet for kids is probably the iPad Air 2 because it is very easy to use and navigate, and is also light. For adults, the best tablet is probably the Galaxy Tab S because it has very good specifications.
    3. The best five applications to get on a tablet right away are Netflix, so you can watch movies or tv when doing other things, Spotify to listen to music, any game just to spend time if you get stuck waiting for something, a news app to catch up on the latest news, and a social media app of your choice.
    4. All the apps from question 3, but substitute the game for Google Docs.

  38. 1. I would go with the most recent iPad, because while it is very expensive, each dollar pays for quality, speed, a wide array of apps, and everything an average layman would want.
    2. I think most people just get iPads because it is the easiest and most recognizable option out there, especially considering its user-friendly interface.
    3. I would get a strong and sturdy internet, Infinite Campus, ListenOnRepeat, Ghost Trick, and Tumblr.
    4. For an adult, something geared more towards business, so at least to apps related to their job, then Google Drive, for slideshows and other similar presentations, Youtube for general use, and a game or other such entertainment app for personal enjoyment.

  39. 1.) The iPad Air 2.

  40. 1. Although it pains me to say this, the iPad Air 2 is a great tablet, possibly the best one out there. It has excellent battery power and storage.
    2. iPads have always been popular and continue to be. They are probably the most used tablets on the market. There are a lot of child development and learning games for small children to use, and you can adjust the font sizes for older adults to be able to read better.
    3. I use Spotify, Youtube, Tumblr, Kik, and Snapchat. There are also some games I am always playing, but not necessary.
    4. Adults can get the most out of Spotify, Skype, Google Docs (along with Drive), and a mail app, most likely Gmail.
