  1. 1. Personally I like to use CNET as my tech website of choice. The Interface and Navigation help make CNET a great overall website for gadget-related articles. By having a simple navigation imbedded within the website, you can find articles based on your interests.

    2. CNET recently posted an article about the most anticipated tech of 2014. These inevitable devices included the iPhone 6, Android L, and Oculus Rift. After listing each new tech they explained what it was and why it is so anticipated. I choose this article because I get very excited when new tech is announced, and the items they listed are sure to be a benefit with assistance in our lives.

    3. 2014 is, and will be a big step forward for technology, as will 2015. With the anticipation of the 4K TVs, new smart phones, and the commercial version of Google Glass and the Oculus Rift, it’s going to be a quite exciting time in the next couple of months. All these new gadgets and technology will be a revolutionary time. Especially with the Oculus, and Glass it will be a next step in the way we use technology to enrich our lives.

  2. 1: Of all of these ten links, I whittled down the list to one that I felt held the most content I enjoyed on the front page, and that service was Extreme Tech. I saw a lot of very interesting posts about chairless chairs, metamaterials that seem to defy the laws of physics as we know them, and even Unreal Engine 4 and how a wonderful designer named Koola created a 21st Century institute of stainless steel, amidst a field of autumnal trees.

2: The article that I found most interesting was on the Maxwell architecture, which has been around for a fair few months now. The Maxwell graphics architecture is currently used on the 700 and will be used on the 800 series of Nvidia cards. The Maxwell architecture is, yes, not as big in the number game, but the laptop chip with Maxwell beats the Kepler chip quite a bit in “Performance”, and the high-end Kepler chip just narrowly beats it in “Extreme”, by 3DMark 11 standards. But the biggest plus of the Maxwell architecture is that it beats the Kepler’s TDP by 30, from 75 to 45; the fan doesn’t need to work nearly as hard to keep it cool, which is a massive plus for those who wish to game in silence… or near silence.

3: After looking up what TDP means, I was actually pretty surprised to learn what it did. I’m more interested in Maxwell chips than I was before, and according to the article, AMD should jump on this, because with the current figures, Nvidia is going to dominate the more inexpensive graphics card market. It may not be world changing, but it certainly changes the landscape of the industry.

  3. 1) I chose the Security Researchers Lay Bare TSA Body Scanner Flaws, because it involves the security of the American people, also because it was clear and easy to read. It describes how little the TSA has put effort toward reviewing their own tech and how bad it has affected our security.
    2) The TSA has spent more than one billions dollars on full body scanners that are incredibly flawed. The Rapiscan Secure 1000 full-body scanner has been in use for four years and with extensive studies by researchers they have found that it is particularly easy to conceal contraband and easy to be hacked. If you put it under a certain material, or shape it specifically, or have a good size, you can bring any thing through, it was proven with weapons such as knives, firearms, plastic explosives, and detonators. The TSA plans on buying new scanners impervious to hacking and alteration.

    1. As long as the TSA refrains from reviewing and updating their outdated technology, the world will be at risk to terror attacks. Something tells me this all part of some money saving scheme. They are essentially letting terrorists and smugglers slip through their fingers since they let arrogance blind them. The world may be seeing a climb in attacks or accidents as long as this outdated machine is still in service.

  5. 1.I chose the discovery tech link. The story was Amazon announcing they bought Twitch.tv.This link is really interesting because i'm on Twitch.tv almost everyday and a change like this is definitely a big change.

2.I chose this article because it's something i didn't know until now.As I said I actively go on Twitch.tv so this will be quite an interesting development for Amazon, Twitch, and Google, the former owner of Twitch

3.This will change a number of things. For starters Twitch's policies will most likely be changed or completely redone. Also there is quite a number of legal processes to go through and considering millions of people are on Twitch.tv everyday this will affect ALOT of people.

    1. 1. I choose Wired, even though the layout of the sit is organize in a messy way like way. It has nice clean words, and all the topics on Wired, are just what the site is call weird.
      2. A new speaker that make music or sound more beautiful. I choose this article because who wouldn't want a new type of speaker where you wouldnt want to hear the static you hear mostly when you have speakers.
      3. How can this impact on my life? Well in many ways it can. I can listen to music with a more clear voice, I can also listen to other videos or gameplay and I wont hear that consit static you usually here in those, regular speakers.

    2. contiue from 1. Not only that the website are messy in a organize way, each little pic gets a very, very short descripton of what that topic is going to be about.
      2. With this new speaker its not huge, like other speakers so it works with small spaces, Its not wireless but wires and input are at a minun.
      3. Another thing to add is that it can give your more room if you have small desk, or you have a large desk and you want to use the other room for space.

    1. 1. Looking for a site that gets you news that actually interests you? Check Extremetech, they show interesting news quickly, with a layout that can't be beat. Right away you can see the latest breakthroughs in technology. If what you see doesn't interest you, choose a tab from the top that does, and get immediate changes to the news.

      2. Have you ever wondered what the world would be like if you could charge electrical devices with solar power, without it costing a fortune, and looking terrible? It may be possible soon to charge homes and portable electronics using a new, completely transparent, solar glass from inventors at Michigan State University.

      3. With the new glass, you would be able to charge your phone as you talked, or power your home on a sunny day, the possibilities are endless. Currently though, the glass is only able to produce energy at only one percent efficiency, but they are working to get it to produce five percent, two away from the bulky solar panels we have today. With such a low cost, look forward to seeing them widely used in the future in the industry, as well as everyday consumers.

  9. 2. (continued) Normally, superconductors have to be in very very cold temperatures. This metamaterial superconductor is room temperature. If they are able to create this, there can be world-wide power grids, no electricity loss from lengthy cables, very fast and efficient public transportation, and vastly more uses that are even imagined right now.

    3. This will impact me by making electricity fees much lower, make computers run faster (for better gaming and quicker rendering for 3D models and images), and maybe even cheaper and way more effective electric cars.

  10. 1.) I'm choosing TechCrunch because I like the layout of the site and the amount of news they have and post. This stands out to me because its simplistic and I prefer simplistic design. It's also my favorite because it covers every form of tech and not just a certain category.

2.) Apple opening a battery replacement this article is about how apple is starting a battery replacement program due to units having shorter battery life. The reason this is important to me is because I have waited for such a long time for apple to do something like this. Because before apple just replaced it and it cost a good penny. But I hope this kind of thing continues in helping their customers.

3.) This impacts me in many ways one of them is the improvement of customer service in larger company's that never did things like this before and I happy about these kind of things. And I think it will improve the way that company's interact with there customers and help them out more

  11. 1.) I prefer the first link available, which was Popsci, and I am not even too sure why, it seemed like one of the easiest sites there and had some decent looking stories on it.
2.) The article I chose was one describing an Autonomous X-47B flight that was able to fly in formation with a manned aircraft, and safely landed itself back on an aircraft carrier safely. I picked the article because it just seemed interesting and the fact that the plane did all that without a pilot to control it's actions is quite amazing.
3.) This bit of technology most likely won't affect me directly, at least, I hope not, but it could change how people fight in wars because of the fact that the robot and human can fly together like any normal thing, but seeing how the autonomous aircraft is given that much freedom for it's AI, it might end up being a bad thing, but, as with all things, only time will tell what is to come of it.

  12. 1. The W I R E D news has a lot of topics that interest me like video games and cool technology. Plus finding an article that interests you is so easy, just choose a subject and scroll through all of the honest thumbnails and headings.

    2. I found an article about Peter Molynuex’s new game Godus. I enjoy Peter’s games like Fable and Populous. Populous is a game where you play god like in Godus. However The interviewer said thay Peter sounded not so excited about his new game, and from some reviews I have seen it is not very popular.

    3. I do not think I will pay Godus because of the reviews and gameplay I have seen. I think that Godus is not a new revolutionary game, but the game that begins the conclusion to Peter Molyneux’s career.

  13. 1. I prefer the website engadget. This is because it has a lot of information in a wide range. There are a lot of stories on it.

    1. 1. (continued) This website is easy to navigate through and updates it's information very often. It has all types of stories on it that you can chose from.
      2. My favorite article that I picked was that people are making a robot brain that robots can get information from. So basiclly the robot brain pulls in tons of information from the internet and stores it. Then robots can look through that information. I picked this article because I thought it was really interesting and i thought it was really cool and a neat way to have robots get information.
      3. This impacts me and the world because it means that robots will advance in the world. Eventually robots can and probably will take over human jobs and will leave us jobless and homeless. Still we will always need people to work and have jobs that robots can not do.

    2. One of the articles that I like is the amazon drone. I pick this because it was appealing to my that amazon will use a drone to fly our shipment. The drone would be faster and easier to get your shipment . It is a great idea to fly your shipment in air instead of, on ground.

    3. it will impact my life personally because I order my goalie stuff and they take awhile to get to my house and with the amazon drones the shipments will be a lot faster.

  16. 1.) I like the Fast Company website the most. It is updated daily with new news about technology. The technology ranges from simplistic to complicated and unheard of. It is easy to navigate throughout the website. The information seems to be focused on the middle and younger aged group, therefore, being ore attention grabbing for me.
2.) Ikea just bought some new technology, which is at light tile. This uses less energy, is flexible, and doesn't let out harmful gasses... that anyone knows of. This surface now can project images too!

    1. 3.) This new technology will impact me because I can keep it on longer. It takes up less energy and does not emit as much heat, if any, therefore not being as dangerous as other lights. In a couple of years, who knows, major stores lighting up the entire nation, even the world! With the new, innovative design, these look even more appealing than an average light bulb, not that they do.

  17. 1) I picked the first website, popsci because it gives me all the news that I find interesting. I enjoy the engineering science and computer news. After skimming through them all, I liked this one the best. It is also is easy to navigate and is comfortable to look at. Not only that, a good portion of its news is humorous and clever.

    2) I chose the article entitled: Watch A Robot Ride A Hovercycle. It is about how the worlds first hovercycle built for humans is now in production. Once it is finished, people will essentially be able to motercycle through the air... That's some sci-fi crap right there.

    3) This will impact my life because can you imagine anything better than mixing the sports of riding motercycles and flying helicopters??? no. So I think that this will change a lot for all of us.

  18. 1.) Out of the 10 links I picked Popsci for a few reasons that I really liked. I liked the layout of the page and all the interesting stories on it. Also they had something about Bill Nye the Science Guy, and lets face it everybody likes Bill Nye.

2.) I chose China's Future Submarine. It talks about how scientist in China came up with a way to make the submarine go as fast as the speed of sound. The theory is that if it moves through a pocket of are it will move faster. That would be done by using a gas to keep the air bubble around the submarine, apparently.

3.) This will impact the entire world if the can actual make a submarine go as fast as the speed of sound. It could completely change warfare. Every country that didn't have it would scramble for it and defenses against it. This could make warfare all about navy again and make it more dangerous.

  19. 1) The technology website I chose was TechCrunch. Above all the other websites this site in my opinion contains the most relevant information of all ten sites. Not only is this news site easily read but it does not have those random stories about a panda faking being pregnant.

    2) The article that I chose was about the potential wearable device that could go along with the new I-phone 6's rumored release date of September 9th. The new addition to the apple product line is said to add on to the preexisting health and fitness software of IOS 8. In addition to the wearable device the article also mentions the possibility if the I-watch which can can measure blood pressure and many other things. I chose this article because many people are going mad for this information and it is very relevant.

    3) This technology will allow my to do so much on the go like the tracking feature which would drastically reduce the amount of panic fazes that I have about my sister. The feature could also help the world, it could just take the tap of a button and police could find a missing person or a parent could find there kid.

  20. 1: Even if it is a bit unorthodox, I like to use Reddit for my tech go-to. Even if there is some "other" stuff on there, the fact that it's such a widely used website by a variety of people, I can count on it for telling about the new stuff in the world. And if any facts are wrong, they can be corrected by the hivemind of other redditors. For me, it is easy to navigate the website, it's very straight-forward. The stories if not written by the redditors, link instead to an official article on another website, so It basically links the internet together. The intersection of the world wide web, basically.

In the middle of a desert, abandoned areas like Chernobyl, and 3rd world countries could all have the internet we have. This metamaterial is amazing if you can just think of all the possibilities and the ones we can't even imagine yet. This may even be able to be used to boost internet connection to the point where no one gets lag. If that is a use, there could also be internet everywhere just like electricity!

    3) This key will help some people and put some people in trouble it will be good for the lock smiths to open peoples door

  23. 1. I chose Engadget, they all seemed same but Engadget has a couple stories that I liked. The layout is alright, they all seemed the same to me, just the stories were different.

    2. 3D-printed mesh gives man with half a skull hope for recovery, instead of using other body parts of people to heal a person they used 3-d Printing to make a mesh of a guys cranium and insert it in him giving him back part of his skull that he was missing.

    3. This technology will help heal the world and give people the feel of a normal life and not having people stare at them, it will give more confidence and change the world.

  24. 1. The technology website I chose was Discovery: TECH because it had easy to read articles, interesting stories, and a layout and interface that was easy to navigate and not entirely bland.

    2. Google's X Labs have unveiled the Google Wing, a drone being developed to provide humanitarian aid and delivery within minutes. The drone, which takes off and lands like a helicopter and flies like a plane, is currently being tested in Australia, and Google recently released a video showing off Google Wing delivering dog treats to an Australian farmer. I chose this article because it shows technology that feels like it has come from the future in action, and makes me excited for coming years.

    3. While this technology may not impact me personally for awhile, it is leading to faster delivery services that will make ordering things online much faster and convenient, and should decrease traditional shipping prices.

  25. 1) After looking at all the links, I decided that TechCrunch was the best one. I felt that TechCrunch was cleaner than the rest of the sites and it had articles that interested me more.

    2) The article that I read was the new 3DS announced today by Nintendo. The new 3DS introduces new ways to play with friends online and using new 3D technology and it's gyroscopic sensor, it expands the way a gamer can play games.

    3) I've always followed Nintendo and it's line of products, and playing their new system has always entertained me. Nintendo always finds new ways to change the way we play games.

  27. 1.) I chose Extreme Tech off of all the 10 links provided for me. The subject I chose was the "Mysterious Sailing Rock of Death Valley" an age-old mystery that has a mysterious moving rock that moves around the Death Valley Desert, with nobody moving it in the first place.

2.) Thanks to science, we were able to figure out what was going on. What was going on was the rock was moving by a theory called "Ice Shove", which is where two different temperatures interact with each other and form an "Ice Shove".

3.) The Ice Shove is where ice pushes rocks at a very small scale, however, when it does it for a long time, it is a massive scale. The rock moves and creates a trail behind it, making it look like the rock was moving, which it was.

  29. 1. I picked a site of my own, gizmag.com, because I found that the links given did not look as professional as this site. What I like about Gizmag is the cleanness of it and also the abundance of picture- different than the other sites. I also found that the topics were easier to find than on other pages.

    2. I picked an article on “autonomous mini helicopter” that hunt down weeds in the rainforest. I thought that this was very interesting since I personally love drones, especially helicopters, and I thought that it was nice to see a constructive use for them. I was also surprised, since I thought that the industry was leaning toward quadrocopters, not helicopters.

    3. I do not believe that this specific invention will affect me personally, yet I can definitely see this affecting the future. Using drones for environmental services is an interesting concept, and this might lead to other uses such as crop-spraying drones for farms, or tracking endangered species with drones.

  30. 1.) Out of the 10 links provided, I chose techcrunch. The article that interested me was "Samsung’s New Gear S Smartwatch Features A Curved Screen And 3G Connectivity" I chose this one because it seems like a really cool smart watch with a curved screen, and its resolution is 380x480, which I think is pretty nice for its 2 inch screen.

2.) Samsungs new curved watch with a super AMOLED display can receive notifications, messages, and even make and receive calls with the use of any smartphone around. It has bluetooth, wifi connectivity, and cellular radio. The watch wraps around the wrist instead of sticking out on a flat surface (which I find appealing). It has 4gb of storage, and half a gig of RAM.

3.) ---I will continue this later, sorry ran out of time!------

  31. 1. The news source I chose was Fast Company. The Fast Company interface is incredibly simple. It doesn't waste time with all kinds of advertisement crap. The home page is just a list of really cool news articles written by informed people. The types of news it includes is interesting random stuff that doesn't even focus on technology.

    2. A really cool article that interests me is about these 1 dollar bills that have a special mark on them. If you submit this dollar bill to any taco bell, you will be rewarded with $10,000 worth of taco bell for life. I picked this article because free lifetime Taco Bell sounds pretty awesome.

    3. The technology will probably not impact me at all. This could change the world in the fact that people will have the opportunity to feed thousands of needy people. The difference that 11 people could make with $10,000 worth of Taco Bell could be tremendous.

    ReplyDelete
  32. 1. The news site I chose was WIRED. I really like how the layout and the interface are set up, along with a lot of the stories that are posted. The black navigation bar at the top of the site makes navigating this site simple and easy. I also like how some of the articles that really caught my eye are displayed right on the homepage. The text is easy to read and clearly says a little bit about what each topic is about.
    2. Wired just realeased an article a few weeks ago about security researcher Gene Bransfield mapped out all of the networks in his neighborhood that would be vulnerable to any intruder with, at most, some simple hacking tools, using his cat Coco. He put a collar, equipped with everything he needed to search his neighborhood for unprotected computers, on his cat Coco and all she had to do was walk around their neighborhood. He then explains how people used to do it using a car instead of a cat, and how many problems it caused. I picked this article because I like some of the ways that people use technology with their animals.
    3. This technology has impacted the world because some hackers do the same thing except they drive around a city with their cars to try and locate weak and unprotected Wi-Fi networks. This effects me personally because it makes me realize that they could easily do the same to my Wi-Fi and it's kind of scary when you think about it.

  33. 1. I picked W I R E D. It was the most pleading to my eye and drawled me to it. I enjoyed there set up. They had very different and interesting topic covering all subject to do with tech. They topics are inviting and are really interesting. I don't have to be completely in to technology. There articles are straight and to the point. I really enjoy how they have pictures with their articles. Their set up is really easy to follow.
    2. I picked a article in yogurt pearls. What's tech about that? Well They used a certain wave to make the yogurt shape in edible pear plastic containers. Edible plastic, technology science. The tec we have creates these pears to consume. The pears help recycle plastic and containers. Helping over all with the environment. Less container's we just throw away. It really helps the earth.
    3. Personally, the yogurt pears is really interesting, They are also trying to use the same technology to make ice cream pearls. Really tasty idea. Technology wise that's really cool to recycle plastic and eat it. Its really smart, recycling editable plastic in these little pearls. It can defiantly change the world, a new way to recycle is super awesome. Recycling helps and changes everything. The Earth could use all they help it could get and this is just a step towards all this. It could help my children some day and help me as well. Help our earth in return helping us.

  34. 1) I picked popular science, because I get their monthly magazines. Their website was easy to navigate. They list pictures of what the article is about, and give you a shortened version of that article below it. The wording is easy to unseratand, and the font is easy to read. Not too big, not too small.

    2) Watch a Robot Ride a Hovercycle : Created in Austrailia and transfered to the UK, the Drone 3 is being tested in order for it to be used in common day use. It will use the same air space as helicopters instead of being on the road. The bike pushes itself off the ground with 4 giant fans. The one tested in this article only carrys 15 pounds, but its scaled 1/3 of the human sized model. I picked this article because the I love the thought of it. Imagine, getting to school or work on one of these things!

    3) If I had one of these, I feel that I could get places faster than I would be able to otherwise. This is definantly going to impact airspace traffic control. There will have to be new laws and rules in order to keep people from flying into others. Although, this will give the ability to fly to the public. I think this is amazing!

  35. 1. I chose fast company because of both tech and building stories. It is pretty organized and easy to navigate. It had some very funny stories.
    2. http://www.fastcodesign.com/3035050/is-oculus-rift-on-a-roller-coaster-overkill-or-just-enough-kill This article is about a class using oculus rifts to create a virtual realty on a roller coaster. I am quite jealous that they were allowed to do that. A lot of the students were amazed from what it was like to ride that coaster.
    3. This tech could be made on to a roller coaster and have you be able to chose which version of 3d virtual world you want to fly through.

  36. 1. I picked Engadget because I really like its interface. Its content interests me and the site in general looks very pleasing to look at.

    2. Twitch's peak viewing numbers rival CNN and MTV's prime-time audience. In this article, it talks about how Twitch.tv is getting more viewers than big TV channels like CNN and MTV. This is HUGE in terms of the online gaming community growing in numbers and size. This shows that gaming is becoming less of a hobby and more of a competitive scene, a bigger media platform, and what more and more people are gravitating towards. My kind of article.

    3. If Twitch keeps getting bigger, then people will start seeing and acknowledging gaming for what it really is. Gaming is a job, an art form, and a better source of entertainment than TV. The future is going to become very bright for the gamer community.

  37. 1. The site that intrigued me the most was fast company. The links were easy to get to and unlike most sites told the story in the title. Some articles were a bit bland others were really interesting. There was one about the exo suit that the army plans to use to there advantage.

    2. One article was really great and well designed this article stated that they have found a bright red gel like substance that can stop bleeding in ten seconds or less. This substance can also be substitute the human liver which is great for so medical procedures in the future. As of right now it is in experimental testing and scientist are questioning weather they should release it to the public.

    3. In any future event that will cause bleeding or liver failure can be helped by this substance and who knows maybe with a bit more test they can figure out what else it does it might even recover lost brain cells. But all we can do is hope.

    1. 1. The site that intrigued me the most was fast company. The links were easy to get to and unlike most sites told the story in the title. Some articles were a bit bland others were really interesting. There was one about the exo suit that the army plans to use to there advantage. These suits can lift 5 times the users body weight and can shield them from rounds up to 44. But that's not the article im going to talk about.

This gel could quite possible repair damaged or torn tissue in the body and could be used to make enhancers for the human body. These would be great for the world and science alone.

    2. 1.Out of all the news sites I enjoy Discovery : TECH the most. It has a simple easy navigation
so I can read more instead of navigating the menus. The stories are of my interest and fascinate me to the point that I want to now more about them. The articles seam well written by people that know what there doing.

2.Google X has a article on 'Project Wing' a drone made of consumer delivery. The Wing drown is a unmanned drone that is being made to deliver humanitarian aid to disaster areas or consumer goods to people. It weighs 22 pounds and takes off vertically with 4 electric motors.

3.As I order meany things online this could mean extremely faster delivery that may also be cheaper. For the world it would help meany people in a emergency who need important supplies.

  38. 1. I enjoyed out of all ten was ExtremeTech. The information is nicely organized and easy to read and comprehend. The navigation is smooth, easy, and simple. The stories are interesting and keep me interested all the way through to the end and the reliability.

    2. DARPA has now started developing tiny brain implants that regulate your nervous system and control different diseases. The name of the program is ElectRx (pronounced electrics) and the goal of the implant is to replace medication with a "closed-loop" that is supposed to monitor your health and then stimulate it properly to keep everything functioning properly. The first people who are said to receive the implant is U.S. veterans. However, it's said to eventually get to civilians. This new product of medical science is a part of the new category neuromodulation.

    3. I don't want anything to with this implant or anything like this. It's a good idea however, but the real reasons to use these in people is to take control of the mind of the people and practically turn them into mind slaves for the governments doings. So if I have a choice and even if I don't I'll refuse to get this implant installed

  41. 1. I preferred TechCrunch, but did enjoy all of the websites. I enjoyed it the most because of the layout and presentation of information, as well as the easy to use interface.

    2. "It’s still pretty early days for beacon tech, but practical applications for the Bluetooth trigger hardware." This means that soon we can have objects and devices that can detect each other through Bluetooth. Soon they think it may work well for waiting tables and providing a simpler way to pay.

    3. This will allow me and others to have their phones or devices do things like set the air condition, or start playing music when you arrive at home, or when you leave set the alarm system. It will make things that are simple in the world become automatic.

  42. 1. All of the websites shown are all very helpful in my opinion, especially with getting connected in the tech world. My personal favorite was the "Engadget" website. It is my favorite because it is very easy to navagate and has very helpful information in many areas of tech. Also each blog is thouroughly explained is very precise.

2.The Google Self-Driving Car is a project by Google that involves developing technology for autonomous cars. The software powering Google's cars is called Google Chauffeur. Lettering on the side of each car identifies it as a "self-driving car". The project is currently being led by Google engineer Sebastian Thrun, former director of the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and co-inventor of Google Street View. Many states have passed laws that this car is laval and promoted.

    3. This car can change the world immensely. One day it won't be weird to get in a car, go for a drive and see the driver take their hands off of the wheel while the car continues on self-guided.

  43. 1) I chose Discovery :TECH because the website was fairly simple to navigate through. All of the news was right there on the front page. The news on there varied from goggles that could see through walls to houses o the sides of cliffs.

    2) The Robotic Vacuum is a device that was created by Dyson which is able to vacuum a room on its own. It took 16 years and 47 million dollars. It is very powerful and can pick up particles as small as 0.5 microns. It is powered by lithium-ion battery that allows for 20 to 30 minutes of run time. If it runs out of juice, the vacuum returns to its docking station, recharges automatically, then gets back to work. I chose this because no one likes to clean and this takes away that task.

    3) If i were to have this it would make cleaning a whole lot easier. It would save me a lot of time and energy.

  44. 1. PCGamer is an excellent website focusing on all aspects of gaming and technology. The site is filled with current news of happenings it the gaming and technological industry. It also contains in-depth reviews for games and products, previews for upcoming projects, and much more. Because this blog is about tech news I shall be focusing my attention to the site's news page. The site is extremely simple and easy to navigate with a basic scrolldown of recent articles with a selection of "most popular this week" articles displayed on the right side for easy access. If you're searching for some information that may not be so recent and don't wish to scroll through a list of articles, you may use the sites search bar to find a variety of articles based around the topic you wish to learn more about.

    2. "Amazon buys Twitch: 9 ways it can be a better platform for PC gamers" is an article focused on Amazon's recent acquisition of gaming broadcast site, Twitch.tv. The article is extremely informative about the details of the purchase, citing both Amazon and Twitch's information regarding the buy-out. After it finishes explaining the purchase it then transitions to a list of speculations about what is to come with Amazon's new ownership. Like most articles regarding gaming or happenings in the gaming industry it is difficult to be un-biased as many people enjoy other' opinions. The list dose hold some bias about what changes would and wouldn't benefit the site but they are ideas absolutely everyone can get behind and would see little to no opposition. It makes it clear that its list is simply based off of speculations and ideas of the author and the community and does not state them as facts of what is to come.

    3. I have been an avid viewer of Twitch broadcasts for the better part of two years and have enjoyed the site ever since I first stumbled upon it. Over time the site has been rapidly growing and developing in many ways. Earlier this year there was talk about Google purchasing the World's largest livestreaming site and I, like many others feared that their takeover would be similar to theirs of YouTube. While I, like many others was annoyed by Google's copyright enforcement and forced use of the implemented Google+, I didn't care too much. When it came to the idea that that may happen to Twitch I was terrified by the talk of many of my favorite broadcasters abandoning the site and possibly heading somewhere else. I didn't want this platform I had come to enjoy so much be suddenly demolished by copyright law and notifications of "you must be signed into Google+ to talk in chat". Now with Amazon in charge I am quite looking forward to the future as they have expressed much interest in acting solely as supervisors and providing Twitch with the resources it needs to become an even greater website. As it is unknown currently what changes will occur I am unsure of how this will change things for me personally. While it most likely won’t have impact on a Global scale it will change the way broadcasting is done for a long time to come.

  45. 1) The tech site I chose was Extreme tech. This site contains very interesting articles about all things in technology. This site also includes a very sleek layout and easy to read articles.
    2) The article I chose was about Oculus's new device. This device features 360 degree head tracking and comes with headphones. The crescent bay features a better display and integrated headphones. I chose this article because it is interesting and is about new revolutionary products.
    3) This device could impact me by creating a better gaming experience and putting you in the game instead of sitting in front of a TV with a mediocre game to play.

  46. 1. I chose the site WIRED. I like this tech news site because it has a very nice layout. As soon as you open it it brings up the recent top articles and videos. Just below it is a feed of the most recent articles published on the site. The articles seem catered more to media tech than just electronic technology.

    2. The article I read was What’s Up With That? Phantom Cellphone Vibrations. In the article in says the person during the research thinks phantom vibrations are a result of the brain’s want for filling in the gaps to find patterns. They basically said it was because your body was looking for cell phone vibrations, and anticipating them.

    3. Um well, it doesn't really affect me much. I mean sure, I have though my cell phone was ringing a few times but that's pretty rare. I think it's interesting though that someone actually did research into such a random activity. Thats what makes the internet interesting.

  47. 1. I chose the gaming blog/"news" site, Kotaku. While not useful for finding what's the absolute newest in the tech world, it's a great place for gaming and technology enthusiasts alike.

    2. I chose the article "Use A 3-D Printer To Turn Your Smartphone Into A 1000X Microscope" from Popular Science because I genuinely found it interesting. In the article, they explain how, by using a plastic bead and a 3D printed holder, you can create your own microscope out of your phone! It's far too in-detail and complex to explain here, but you should definitely check it out.

    3. It won't exactly impact me personally, but I can definitely see it changing the world, especially for "on-the-spot" research and investigation, as the article suggests.

  48. 1. The site that intrigued me the most was fast company. Links were easy to get to and many in the title of this site it told the topic of the story. Some of the articles weren't the best bust most of them were pretty interesting. There was one about the exo suit which stated that the army was going to be using them for many things to help them out in the future. The suits can lift 5 times the users body weight and they can also shield them.

    2. One article stated that their was a red like gel that made bleeding stop faster than normal. It also stated that this substance can be substitute the human liver which now is very useful to the medical industry and can be used to help patients in the future..

    3. In the future maybe they could test this subject and try to make it fix big injuries fast or maybe even fix blood cells faster. This gel could help repair broken bones faster or even repair important organs throughout the body. These would be very helpful to the world and in the future could grow into something much bigger.
