I honestly feel like technology will come to a bit of a halt this year, leading for an even more productive and impressive 2015. It seems like Google Glass needs more time to develop in order to be what everyone wants it to be, and computers and hardware can only get so much better in a year. Honestly, I see 2014 as being "The Year of Slightly Improvement" rather than "The year we get the Holodeck"
ReplyDelete...then again, I have literally no feeling for time whatsoever, so who knows what could happen.
Good thoughts so far. However, please read the articles above first, then comment. Your opinion does matter, it should be based on what the readings or your research says. Make specific references to what you've read. :)
DeleteI feel as though this year will progress more with touch screens. Personally, I hate the thought of having everything touch screen, but looking at the way things are going, it's going to happen eventually. Take Microsoft for example, they're putting more effort into touch screen laptops, phones, and mobile games then they are with anything else. Some Military intelligence already have touch screen intelligence tables. This shows a satellite view of an area and helps plan out where to move units into combat. So it's pretty much a map with pieces representing military units except it's on an over sized tablet.
ReplyDeleteAlthough who knows? Maybe we'll invent vehicles that can run in vegetable oil!
Good thoughts. Where did you read about the expansion of touch screens? Read all the articles above, then comment. Be careful about making broad statements. Your opinion does matter, but it should be based on what the specific readings or your research says. Make specific references to what you've read. The Microsoft comment is right on! Read a few other articles and expand this. Great job so far! :)
DeleteHey! I think there ARE vehicles that run on vegetable oil! http://www.greasecar.com/
Personaly, I believe that 2014 is just the start of something really big that will progress in the future. Right now The Oculus Rift, is the new technology that i believe will come out as well as the Google glass. Not to mention 3d printing, which I think will be a big success. But one thing that will happen is the fact that these are just the first models of something big. Don't expect much. Once vr has developed farther we will be sent into the games. Example( Sword Art Online) Three d printing will evolve into holograms or something along those lines. The Google glass will become something like an eye picec from Example(Through the ever night) it allows you to do anything that a Google glass does as well as change what you wear in side a virtual reality.
ReplyDeleteGood going so far. You've hit upon some of the items in the readings. Make more specific references like; The Oculus Rift is a new technology that is being investigated by Ford. I think this is ..... Read the articles thoroughly, then comment. Your opinion does matter, it should be based on what the specific points are in your readings or your research says. :)
DeleteGoogle glass is going to affect the year of 2014 in a big way, the Google glass is very helpful and easy to use and people using this is going to make their day way easier. Another thing that I think is going to affect the year 2014 is The Oculus Rift, this device is going to impact the 2014 gaming community more than anything else. It is in my opinion the best thing to use to feel how the gaming world feels like and gets into more detail with the gaming world itself. The last technology is a 3D printer, this is going to help people in mostly everything out there. For example the construction industry this printer can make a 3D model of buildings to help them get a better idea of how they are going to build something. It can help them figure out how to build something and make everything easier in the long run.
ReplyDeleteToyota has just revealed it's line of 2015 vehicles, including the "Fuel Cell." What's so amazing about this car is it's ability to run just as well as any car manufactured today with its only emission being water. That's because these cars will run on Hydrogen and batteries instead of gas. In low power-consumption positions, the car can run solely on the battery, and when extra power is required the hydrogen energy kicks in. Beyond that, the cars charge at night when many people see reduced rates in their electricity. During the day, the car spits this inexpensive electricity back to the home at peak hours causing the electricity bill to drop significantly. Toyota states a single car can power the average home for up to four days, that is, when combined with solar panels. Another energy-saving contribution on Toyota's part is their computer run smart city idea. With this, the Internet of Things truly comes into play. Every car, home, community, power plant- basically anything that uses or creates electricity- is connected to the internet. A system of computers receive energy usage data and can provide information such as when the best times to use electricity are or even tell your car what time it should start charging at. All done seamlessly to the user.
ReplyDeleteThese big changes are coming to the US very soon, so soon that we'll begin to see it come together in just under a year. Over the course of 2014, we may see hydrogen stations begin to pop up for example in preparation for this new standard in power. And of course, this is simply what Toyota is doing for the future; we're bound to see more futuristic innovation coming from just about every other company through the course of the year.
2014 the year of 2013's crazy ideas becoming a reality. 3D printed body parts, flying personal delivery, bigger games and cheaper devices. The future is out there and electronic companies want to take full advantage of them. Companies and scientists are saying that by the year 2018 surgery will no longer be done by the human hand. Instead all surgeries will be completed by robots, now robotic surgeries have been around since the 1990's to give surgeons a more precise hand however they now want to eliminate human error in the operating room. One of the weirdest and possibly the least likely to work it the Amazon drone, or drone delivery system as more companies are catching on to this trend. The idea is the a robotic drone will deliver the package to your door without the use or normal transportation. However as cool as this idea sounds there still is the problem that gun toting men will open bird season on these drones for the mystery packages that they contain. Bitcoins and other "cryptocurrencies" will be on the rise as one bitcoin that used to cost $13 now is around $800. However is there a crash in store? Or will this electronic cash be the gold of the next century. The company Sigma was a huge standout at CES with their new camera lenses, however the price might be out of your range as the Sigma SD1 DSLR is priced at around 10 grand. However professional photographers might be willing to pay this price for quality. The Apple of the cameras.
ReplyDeleteNew technology is constantly being invented and perfected, it continues to progress an improve.
ReplyDeleteTo start out with, I have been talking about Google Glasses for a while now but I have never known this much about their specs. Google Glass is an augmented reality head-mounted display, allowing hands-free access to the web. The product resembles normal eyeglasses where the lens is replaced by a small electronic screen. It provides interaction via natural language voice commands, as well as eye-tracking technology. A miniature gyroscope can tell the user's position and orientation at all times. On the side frame is audio output, and a touch control pad, while on top is a button for recording photos and videos with a built-in camera. It is available to developers by 2013 and for the general public by 2014.

Another new technology is space tourism. Virgin Galactic is scheduled to become the first private commercial “spaceliner” to blast tourists into space, with an inaugural trip in 2014 carrying its founder, Sir Richard Branson. Branson and his children, Holly and Sam, will lift off on SpaceShipTwo from the Spaceport America in New Mexico. Beyond 2014, a handful of private companies are also racing to bring tourists to space, including the ambitious Mars One colony trip to the red planet and Space Adventures’ trip to the moon.

Finally, Smart TV capabilities are advancing, meeting the requirements for growing consumer expectations.
With Smart TV shipments expected to reach 123 million in 2014 – up from about 84 million in 2012 – we are poised to see explosive growth in this industry.
In the midst of this growth, we will continue to see fierce competition between major players like Samsung, Panasonic, and LG. Prices will need to continue to drop, as more consumers crave, and even expect, the ability to use Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Instant Video and their web browser via their TV.
Of course, the development we’re all waiting for in 2014 is the release of Apple’s much anticipated iTV. It appears the iTV is now in the early development stage, and that Apple may be in the process of making a deal with Time Warner to facilitate programming on Apple devices.

I personally like the artificial organs. I feel like many powerful people would have organs made for them and would live a long time. I am assuming many people will be more connected to the internet through google glass even more so than they already are. Razers changing the way people look at PC's. They are working on a computer that instead of a case with components in it they made it into a lego type thing. Instead of opening the case and adding ram you connect the hardware to a stand type motherboard. It cools the computer using mineral oil and everything is connected through PCI Express. The project is called Christine. http://goo.gl/bjaFRH
ReplyDeleteThe first item that caught my attention was Destiny because i have been interested in that game since the creators started talking it. It is a game that is made by the creators of Halo and Call of Duty Black Ops. Its supposed to be about the things from halo verses humans with the call of duty skills.
ReplyDeleteThe second item is the Windows Unveils Phone of Future it is a see through piece of glass that is full of a whole bunch of data. It will respond to grip not just touch. This phone should be coming out late 2014 or 2015.You can write what you want not just type.
The third cool thing is a projected key board. it is kind of self explanatory it is a key board that projects onto a table and is portable. you can change the color of it and is going to be out mid to late 2014.
The Google Glass is soon to be the next iPhone, and ready to take over the market. I see it as a way for people to spend hours upon hours of staring at a hone, without having to pull it out. Now, I'm no fan of Apple, but the google glass seems like a good way to get people out of the material realm. Instead of staring at this tiny screen in their hand with their head down, at least now they'll be looking in your direction when you're trying to say something.
ReplyDeleteThe second jump in technology that impressed me was the idea of online shopping and how much it has improved our lives. now when there is a product that you may need, you can order it from the comfort of your own home. The idea of not having to travel to another state or even country in some circumstances is amazing. it can be brought to your door in matter of days.
Lastly is the drivable cars without a passenger inside. I see this as a benefit of delivering a product to a specialized location. Maybe it can even be used in the army sometime in the future. One good use this might have is the google street view. If new pictures need to be taken for it, then google can just send out a car to do the job instead of someone sitting for hours doing absolutely nothing but driving.
1:) One thing that interests me with the new technologies for this year is the possibility for 3D printed organs. Not only is this a great advancement in technology (specifically in the medical field), it is also a possibility for many lives to be saved or changed for the better. If this project is successful, many shall benefit from it.
ReplyDelete2:) Another advancement that I am interested in is the possibility for deliveries made by amazon drones straight to houses. This has the ability to revolutionize package delivery across the nation and the world, although there are various problems with drone delivery that are easily forseeable.
3:) Last but not least, the creation of wearable smartphone seems rather amazing, although it definitely seems quite unnecessary and useless. They will definitely be a new way to access the technological life that you have, but I'm not sure that they will be worth the cost that they currently are worth.
2014 is going to be a big year full of opportunities for gaming and technology. We're going through a period of time where out technology is advancing faster and faster. One of the exciting things that I will be looking for is the game Destiny. I've seen many different videos about it, and I'm looking forward to the gameplay. Another innovated and interesting tech point is from Autonet. It reviews a car that has the capability of detecting pedestrians in front of the car. not only is it cool, but it could save many lives. I do hope this quickly spreads and is installed in many future cars. The last thing that I researched was the tablet race. It seems to be that companies are competing and production different styles of tablets for the consumers. Some of those include a connectable keyboard, connectivity to your TV, and more. It is estimated that the buying of tablets will go up 20% in 2014. Is there a possibility that PC's will be replaced by tablets, or that everything could become a touch-screen device?
ReplyDeleteThe first upcoming item that caught my attention was the printable organs, they are a huge step in medical technology and will help drastically
ReplyDeleteThe second item is the google glass, i feel like being able to wear something like that will be one of the biggest upcoming techs
The last thing to catch my attention was the drones. They are a huge advance in civil tech and being able to use them is going to be really interesting to watch unravel.
my first choice of new tech that was released this year isn't really actual physical technology. Im talking about crowd funding of course, this is the idea of small businesses along with individuals coming together to fund a common idea
ReplyDeletesecondly many car companies are releasing new cars and fueling methods, one of these is toyota releasing the idea of using a hydrogen fuel cell to power a car, since the car would be using water there is a problem from the water freezing.
my first choice of new tech that was released this year isn't really actual physical technology.
3D Printers, scientist are going to be able to print organs, they have been successful making human tissue, so this is totally going to change everyone. Another is called the "One Wheel" It's a skateboard with only one center wheel, it was shown at the CES, this will change some of my friends maybe and other skateboarders. Last one are drones, drones are big because you can go into a war with them deal some major damage to the enemy without the risk of a US Troop's life. But it will be used for more than just war. Many ways that can't be told yet.
ReplyDeleteOf all the possibilities that could unfold for the year of 2014, a few things actually catch my attention, one of which is that the first ever MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses) is going to be fully taught by a computer instead of a human, with an AI acting as a teacher this opens the possibility that perhaps later in the future all students will learn though an AI and teaching jobs would be gone. Another perhaps advancement of 2014 could be the widespread use of cryptocurrencies, such as bitcoin, so people can send anonymous payments that are worth just a much as real money but not have a paper trail leading back to you or anyone you're associated with. This provides advantages to anonymity but could perhaps be used by corrupt politicians as a way to receive bribes. ( http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/innovations/wp/2014/01/07/10-bold-predictions-for-2014/)
ReplyDeleteAnother very very interesting prospect of future tech is a new drone to deliver packages, I could see this being programmed to deliver packages to any house in any city; this could potentially replace mail couriers but could also be abused.(http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2014/jan/02/technology-predictions-2014-smarter-cities-bigger-games-drones-tablets) Every possible future tech I see has an inescapable possibility of being abused and harming many people or perhaps the security of the country. These new technologies could improve the lives of many people but if you look at the other side of the coin these new techs could infringe upon privacy and also lead to censorship of the American people; one of the reasons I like this country is because of the freedoms we have that others don't, the introductions of advanced and future technologies might lead to a dystopia type society in the American population and lead to a life where we have forgotten what this country is actually here for and what it was built on. I don't have a problem with the advancement of technologies so long as that they are for medical or scientific reasons; technological advancements in the law enforcement and intelligence communities that could possibly infringe on the rights of the people should not be pursued. Technology should be for understanding and advancement of scientific knowledge with the origins of the universe, nothing more. Our lives should be easier, but not the the extent where we are tracked wherever and our information is available to anyone with the right credentials or anyone who could fake the right ones, that is what I have a problem with. Technology dealing with advanced propulsion systems for spacecraft, flying cars, and perhaps alien life, that is the true calling of technology and the future in my opinion.
one invention of 2014 is LG g flex it has a 6 inch curved designed to immerse you in the movie or game your playing. it has a typical quad core processor and a 13 megapixel camera and the back can supposedly can heal itself and because the screens curved inward its not supposed to crack
ReplyDeleteanother cool gadget is the flying drones. They fly around and deliver packages to your house you order something and you can have it in 30 minutes or less. its so cool i order a game and have it 30 minutes!

Deletethats me!
DeleteOne of the inventions I am definitely looking forward to this year are the amazon drones. These things just fascinate me, I mean, they are miniature drones that deliver packages directly to your home faster than any delivery service ever could. If their services also come at a reasonable price, then we might be seeing the end of delivery men and women. Which goes into and entirely different section about unemployment... but hey, the future awaits.
ReplyDeleteAs much as the Google Glass impresses me, I do not think I will ever be a purchaser of one. Although, the concept is truly amazing! These are basically computers and you can wear like an eyeglass! I bet no one ever thought technological feats such as these would be possible, but low and behold; the Google Glass.
Lastly, I believe that 2014 is going to me a fantastic year for virtual reality. We have barely scratched the surface of what virtual reality can do. Just think, we already have devices that can insert our eyes and motions into a game. I don't think it will be long before we can actually insert all five of our senses into a game!
God I'm tired...
DeleteThe three coolest tech gadgets I saw were:
ReplyDeleteGoogle Glass - This device is revolutionary, and I hope it goes on to change the standard for mobile devices. (If it's successful and works correctly, anyway)
Windows' Phone of the Future - This looks awesome! While having a clear phone is a bit novelty, the idea of your phone responding to grip as well as touch is a very good one
The Oculus Rift - This is something I personally cannot wait for. The idea of strapping on a headset and feeling as if you're actually there is amazing, and from what I've seen they've actually got it working really well! I hope this is the start of something amazing for both gaming and other forms of digital entertainment.
finally I got something to post, I had to rewrite this twice.
DeleteGoogle Glass - Ever since I saw the video clips of people using the Google glass for taking pictures, calling friends, instant messaging, video recording and navigation. I was sold, the Google glass is going to be a hit in the near future. You can customize and even apply your eye prescription to your Google glass device!
ReplyDelete3D Printers - My father showed me a YouTube video of a "Master Sword" Replica from the legend of Zelda, then he showed me how they made it, using a 3D Printer. I never even imagined that something like that would ever exist and I hope on having some Tangible experiences with one of them in the future.
Oculus Rift - This is a very fun device, so many Youtube videos of the Oculus Rift. I saw a video recently of people wearing the Rift, holding a plastic gun with sensors on it, while in a ball cage. The cage was big enough to walk in and the as you walked the cage could tell which way you were walking. The gun showed which way you were aiming, and the rift obviously was your vision. Perhaps the rift will lead to some Amazing arcade games!
1.The amazon drones are amazing and changing the world. As drones change from being used to take out terrorist leaders to being used for delivery, we’ll hear talk about the generation of drones that are “the next Apple” or the “next Google.
ReplyDelete2. A new type of engine, called the VASIMR will be tested in space in March. If successful it is estimated that it could reduce the time it takes to get to Mars from nine months to just three months. This can change the way we handle space and other planets.
3. Bitcoin is a payment system and digital currency introduced as open source software in 2009. Bitcoin is useful and is being accepted around the globe, but has been a subject of scrutiny due to ties with illegal activity. In 2013, the FBI shut down the Silk Road online black market and seized 144,000 bitcoins worth US$28.5 million at the time.

ReplyDelete1. The first new item that interested me was the new HI technical computer technology that is in the process of being created. This is a virtual keyboard that is projected onto your work space that will be used for helping businesses get client info and reviews from them faster. This is probably a good idea for business since they won't need an employee there to help them while doing the the review or when they are giving their information as the client. Though this kind of new technology might be odd to some people and they might not know how to use it which shows potential for many problems. http://mindcater.com/new-hi-technical-computer-technology-2014/
ReplyDelete2. In addition a next gen game that is going to be coming out this year interested me called Titanfall. This game is going to change fps games for a long time, and it probably will also kill some of the fps games that are out there. This game offers a whole new kind of game play with its new system to help it become more smooth and responsive with many ways to go about playing this game. Now implementing advanced combat techniques that allow you to fight in your own way. You can play as a fast pilot or in the pilot seat of your titan. Also these features will be implemented into the new online multiplayer. http://www.titanfall.com/
3. The last thing I saw that sort of interested me was GT's new Fury DH Bike. This is a bike that has been remade so it has better handling especially downhill, since it is a downhill bike. It is stronger and better than the other bikes that are around and is definitely more durable. http://www.singletracks.com/blog/mtb-news/news-gt-releases-new-fury-dh-bike/
Scaled FPV- In the past year, scaled aircraft equipped with FPV technology has been growing in population. The thought of being able to explore, scan, and protect yourself without moving interests people. The rate of use has more than doubled in the past year and is continuing to grow. FPV is first-person-view, and adding in a radio controlled aircraft allows the user to create an ultimate mock setup of Airforce drones. People control these aircraft with a simple display (glasses, TV, etc) and a wireless camera.
ReplyDelete(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First-person_view_(radio_control))
Samsung has announced their first 105'' flexible TV. With technical specifications such as this one, our future tech age can evolve out of boxes and into a 4th dimension. Applying tech displays into infinite shape. This innovation will unlock endless tech possibilities for the future.
Ultra HD TV- Unlike the bendable tv above, this Ultra HD TV links the virtual display with realty. Watching something on this TV is true ecstasy. The picture is so crystal clear, even Brittany Spears is jealous.
On the second link, I noticed an image of a transparent smartphone, and when i looked into it, it was a nearly 4 year old article. This got me thinking that this was one of the types of things that inspired Google Glass. Even though the image was a mockup, it was still a cool idea, even though (to me) it seems like an impossible feat with current technologies. Speaking of Google Glass, the 10 bold predictions articles, Glass was discussed as one of the must have gadgets of 2014. I think it will be, I honestly believe that Glass will be a common thing to have, and that business owners will use Glass to communicate with each other and even regular citizens will use it to communicate with each other while being able to keep their eyes on the road while driving. Speaking of driving, another innovation Google has made is the ability to make a car that drives itself. This is possibly the most important innovation on either of these lists. This will help disabled drivers get themselves around without having to get on buses or taxis, making themselves easier to transport, MUCH LIKE THE AMAZON DRONE'S CARGO. This invention by Amazon will make it easier for Amazon to ship orders, cutting waiting time for packages down to as low as THIRTY MINUTES.
ReplyDeleteOculus Rift- A virtual reality device that allows a gamer to really live through the eyes of a virtual character. It is a device worn on the user's head that lets them see through the eyes of another, and is displayed in 3D. It works in conjunction with another device that a person can walk on to move in the game. This allows for even more participation in the controlling of the character.
ReplyDelete3D printing- San Diego Biotech has been working on 3D printing body parts by layering living cells to replicate the actual parts. They speculate that they could print a human liver be the end of 2014. Even more could be accomplished in coming years.
MOOC- The Massive Open Online Course is a program that can teach machines to learn how humans think so they can replicate human actions and emotions. This may lead to machines being able to do jobs for humans and such other jobs like therapy. It may be better for a robot to be a therapist because they will not interject their own opinions.
1. This technology has to do with video games in particular the Xbox one and PS4 consoles these consoles have swept gamers of their feet with stunning graphics and great gameplay, but not with many games themselves. Sure there are a few good games out there, but no where near as many games as there is going to be I found one called Destiny that is expected to be launched sometime in mid 2014 that is letting gamers test their true gaming ability, and experience by adding the Halo and Call of Duty element and enhancing those elements by putting them in space!
ReplyDelete2.In 2014 there is going to be a huge amount of new laptops, tablets and both of those in one. Microsoft has already released one of these and it is called the Surface Pro 2 and it allows you to use it as either a laptop by adding the detachable keyboard or as a tablet by simply taking of the keyboard. Although many people like the traditional in the box type of laptop or PC that is not stopping Microsoft from making this new technology.
3.Technology in 2014 isn't just all about computers. It can also include something as innovative and electric formula cars as shown on this website http://goo.gl/ZZHgci. These cars may be electric and may seem like they wont go as fast as regular formula cars, but they do and they may soon be legal to use on main streets as well
1.The internet of every thing is starting to be built in tech shows. The internet of things is house hold items that connect to the internet to help plan and get things you need. They will be like refrigerators and cars connected to the internet to be able to buy the items you need.
ReplyDelete2. A new sugar battery to be made so you have a green battery. It will be able to hold more energy then lithium ion batter's. It would be able to be cheap and powerful.
3.Samsung is making a new watch able to take photos and answer phone calls. Can be used as a fitness tracker. This will make answering phone calls a lot easy.
I think that contacts will be implanted with full abilities as a phone would have but your able to see it with out looking down. This would take care of phone related crashes and would open up possibilities for easy access and mobility. Bad there are cons like would it block your vision and make crashing a more possibly thing and how would you listen to music.
ReplyDeleteWith this innovation you may not need to crash when you use your contacts. The google smart car drives itself and moves to road by sensors and cameras.
Another amazing product is the ability to print 3D scans. This allows doctors to print out needed body parts for patients that lost an arm or leg. This could also by bad because this means were leaning more and more on technology.
1. Google glass really caught my eye the first time I saw it. The concept of it is truly amazing. It's basically a computer that you wear on your head. I'm really looking forward to being able to call friends, take pictures, and video tape everything around you with your hands free.
ReplyDelete2. Another piece of technology I'm looking forward to is the Oculus Rift. It's a virtual reality device that let's you live the game through the characters eyes. You can even get a a treadmill that works with the Oculus Rift so you can move through the game more.
3. Last but not least, the Amazon drone delivery is something I'm really looking forward to. After buying an item online, the drone will fly the item to your house in 30 minutes or less. Six states are already testing this out, and I can't wait until they start using it.
1. The Oculous Rift is pretty widely known mostly because of it's innovative technology and small, easy to use design. I myself have not yet experienced the Oculous Rift, but I do know about other's experiences. It immerses you into the game like nothing else ever could. I watch a youtuber named Markiplier who plays a lot of horror games. He has an oculous rift and there are many horror games that use that. He gets intensely immersed and has even cried for the first time, since he thought it was real a bit. Now imagine the Oculous Rift with an omni-directional treadmill and you can have amazing immersive games that even make you move and may not even require a controller at all.
ReplyDelete2. Google Glass has been getting more and more attention the past couple of months. Google glass is truly amazing and helpful to everyone. It has many uses to it such as google maps that helps you find anything you want around you. I don't believe it's reached it's full potential or even be near it yet. Glass' technology blew minds everywhere that there can be something like this. Google Glass technology could even be used by people with diabetes and other diseases to see blood pressure, blood sugar, and anything else to help them.
3. Nasa has been testing ways to print food. The recent 3D printer technology has a lot of possibilities and this is a huge one. As this is still in phase 1, it's not certain that there will be success, but if success does occur, imagine the possibilities of being able to print out whatever food you want. If this does go into mass production though, a lot of restaurants if not all restaurants will go out of business, cause why would you need one if you can just print it out? But this could also lead to other stuff like compressed pizza that has a lot of hidden protein in it (tasteless or artificially tasted).
1. TVs are a big part of our everyday life and they will only continue to get bigger and better. Like for 2014 4k TVs are most likely to be really popular in the upcoming months and will be a big focus of 2014.
ReplyDelete2.Smart, and connected cites will be a focus because today more and more people are using the web more and more often and it seems as soon as every one has something connecting them to the internet the more the cites and the world will have to change. Things like self driven cars and WiFi hot spots every were will be in the near future.
3.Amazon drones will be something that will become popular because its convenient and a clever idea. the idea of your product getting to you faster because of a drone is a fascinating one. The main reason it will become popular is because its convenient and fast it would attract a lot more customers because if they can get something they ordered quick it would cause them to keep coming back.
Connected Cars - Connected cars is basically a router that you install in your car. It can connect to most every device and they will receive internet access. It can be very helpful for the driver too by giving the driver notification of crashes ( no that the car crashed, the internet of course ) and can give notification of speeding if you are speeding.
ReplyDeleteQuantified Self - quantified self is a device that basically tells you about your own self health and fitness. This may be helpful for many people who, well, obviously care about their health and fitness. But mainly this will be helpful for older people who really need to know weather their okay or not.
Curved TVs - curved TVs really speak for themselves, they are TVs that are curved, simple as that. I think that these will be really cool but very expensive. Samsung and LG are experimenting with these displays to provide a different sort of viewing angle to the traditional flat straight panel.
Virtual Reality(VR) will definitely have a big affect on the world. will charge thing like simulation training and and video games. Gamers have always dreamed of VR, and now its coming in 2014! VR would also be good for military training.
ReplyDeleteBitcoins are a new form of money on the internet. I know a few people who collect bitcoins myself. one bit coin is equal to 806.95 USD. It completely revolutionizes the way we look at the enternet. not many know about bitcoins but they are extremely useful if you need extra money.
Destiny? Hell yes! Bungie the masters of scenery and adventure. I cant wait to see their next dream. Halo 3 is in my opinion the best first person shooter game of all time and if it is half as good as that then I'm excited. How they'll create what looks like a mix between an MMO and Borderlands baffles me but well see.
ReplyDeleteI don't get what the big deal is about Bitcoin. A new kind of currency that seems to be worth almost a thousand dollars per coin. Seems kind of inefficient but people are using it so that's interesting I wonder how it became such a hit.
Curved TV's can either be really cool or really pointless. Its a TV curved and if not big enough I don't see how it can add anything to the experience however it could fix the widescreen full screen dilemma.
1. The LG G Flex I was going to do this first but Ms Starr stole the idea so I'm going with it. The LG Flex is the Worlds first flexible smartphone with a 6 in screen and a Snap Dragon 800 Quad core prosseser This will not disappoint. In fact it doesn't even know what the meaning of lag is.
ReplyDelete2. The Galaxy watches my brother has been wanting one of these, and I can see why it just sounds cool, and useful.
2. (Fixed) The Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch has met a mixed reception since its launch alongside the Galaxy Note 3 last year. It Work by connecting to your phone via bluetooth and this can make some problems. Along with thoughs problems is that its cool but that's it there is no use for it that I see and it's price makes me think that it is cool then it really is. I said useful but then I started thinking what I do with it. Hmmm...
Delete3. Google smart cars are not that new but they are getting better but the fact that blind people can some what drive cool. It makes living every day easier but i think it's only legal in California. Hopefully the rest of the US will accept it.
