ReplyDelete2. I think it can reveal too much information, but it depends on how much of your information you put on there.
3. Sometimes people look for information about people on the web, so yes there are harmful effects on sharing information on social media websites.
4. Sometimes when you sign up for a job they look at your facebook profile to make sure you are a good person to choose and things you do or post on facebook could effect the job your going for.
5. I think facebook and other social media sites are stupid and a waste of time.
1. The social media I use is Facebook, and Instagram. I pretty much check my facebook everyday, but hardly post anything, and I check Instagram every once in a while and post maybe once a week.

3. There could be people out there who stalk kids and could find out where they live and go to school.
4. We have a tennis group and it makes it easy to send everyone information and plan events and stuff.
5. I think it has its good and bad moments instagram>facebook
1) I usually engage in the Facebook and Youtube world these days. On average, I go on these sites everyday for about one hour.
ReplyDelete2) Yes, I think when people allow their information they share on Facebook to be publicly viewed, it's a huge mistake. People are able to see their personal information which may put their lives in jeopardy.
3) Some potentially harmful effects caused from posting personal information about yourself on Facebook or Youtube could be people criticizing each other and making fun of people. Other things could be rumors being spread around about those people giving them a bad reputation.
4) Good features of posting stuff on websites about yourself could be that family members could be updated about what you're doing.

1. I go on Youtube and Facebook. I go on for about two hours a day.
ReplyDelete2. I know a lot of people that reveal way to much information about themselves on social media. I for one know that people can see everything that I post, so I mostly lurk on social media websites.
3. The potential harmful after effects of sharing too much information on social media websites is that around a million people can figure out who you are in real life and where you live and what you ate for dinner last night and just about anything else you can think of.
4. Some good features of social media websites is that they are a good way to keep up with old friends and family members that are across the globe from you. It is also a good way to share achievements that you have done and kind of show off your prowess in a subject.

3. Sharing information on social networks could reveal a little bit too much about you and job employers could look you up and decide whether they'll hire you or not.
4. Social medias can bring long lost friends together from other states based on things like where they lived or went to school.
1.) I own a facebook, youtube and tumblr account. I go on the first two daily for several hours at a time, and go on tumblr about once a day, for about an hour.
ReplyDelete2.) I think people reveal WAY to much about themselves on their social media accounts. People will go on facebook and post pictures of them smoking. Which is in itself illegal, but then anyone can see it which is just begging to get arrested. I personally, keep a large section of my life OUT of facebook or youtube or whatever. There are some things not everyone needs to know.
3.) Some of the bad things about sharing information on any website is somewhat setting yourself up for harassment in any form. Or kidnapping. When people post something from their phone, it says on their timeline where they were when they posted it. So any predator could go to that area and meet them there.
4.) Some of the good things about sharing things on social media is kind of bragging and more of sharing accomplishments. Like someone could say "YAY just got accepted into college", and then get feedback from friends saying how proud they are of that person.
1. I have a Face book and a you tube account I’m on the you tube a lot but have only used the Face book like 4 times since I got it in 8th grade
ReplyDelete2. Yes they do that picture is only one but police have caught multiple people after barging about their crimes on Face book. When you start face booking your crimes you've gone too far.
3. The potential harm is that everyone has access to it a random person could know from your status where you are and when which is definitely not safe.

1. I check Facebook like 4 or 5 times a week and occasionally I'll look up certain videos on youtube.

People will post pictures and statuses that can be considered inappropriate and can cause people to judge them. Sometimes people will even put their phone numbers and things like that on websites which can be fairly dangerous.
3. The harmful effects are that potential employers will see it, anyone can access it, and that things that are posted can be things that you don't really want everyone to see which can cause things like bullying.

ReplyDelete2. Yes, releasing personal information across the internet is never a good idea. Facebook, for an example displays personal information: name, sometimes
address, phone number, pictures, etc. If that gets out of hand, their are going to be big consequences.
3. People you may not know or that may not like you, may want to harm you in some fashion. Facebook and other social media sites display to much information

I'm extremely careful when I use social media to share stuff, I make sure that what I post isn't taken incorrectly by people that i'm friends with.
3. Whats put on the internet stays on the internet, it can never be fully erased.
