1.) Every blog we have done this year I have showed interest in. But, having to choose my favorite the "Tablet War Time" blog would take my vote. Tablets have been getting extremely popular in the past few years, and asking a technological group like us, which do we think is best is a great altercation to explore among us. It gave students another opportunity to express their opinions in GenYES, and it allowed the administration to choose which device(s) are best for us. Teachers, students, etc can look at the "Tablet War Time" blog and decide which best suits their interest and help them choose what tablet they may want.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite blog this week was the All About Google one mainly because I feel like it gave me a chance to explore google a lot more then I normally would have. In addition to having fun and collaborating with my teammates on the different fun things to do with google that I never thought possible. This blog was set apart from the rest because everything I learned was new and related to technology that I could re-visit over and over especially since google is so popular. It was just overall a load of "fun facts" that I never knew google could do or even had the capability of doing!

Delete1. I'd have to say that my favorite blog was either robots on the POPSCI website or the smart houses!. I love robots but the smart house is just a marvel of technology.
ReplyDeletemy favorite blog was tablet wars because it let us choose our own tablet and justify why it was the best. I really liked the fact that we all had to pick between and then justify winch one of the tablets was the best. I felt like i was also the most engaging blog as well
ReplyDelete1. My favorite blog was the one about kids coding in school. I love the idea that in Elementary schools, kids can learn the basics of one of the most important things today. We as a society use computers to do everything nowadays: count presidential votes, socialize, spread information, write word documents, make movies, music, and engineering. It's important that people know at least somewhat how this all works, since programs run a computer. Also I love programming, and I wish that I got to do this in Elementary school.
ReplyDelete1. My favorite blog was the one with the tablets... it gets me exited for next year and all the possibilities the tablets can provide for the classroom environment. And i loved that it was called "tablet wars" i hope we have more discussions about this type of tech in the future blogs and have more debates about subjects such as this...
ReplyDelete1. My favorite was the blog where we looked at all the cool easter eggs google had added into the search engine. The things like google gravity were pretty cool and fun to mess with. It showed that even though google is this huge company they still find time to have a sense of humor in what they do.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite blog this year was the google one. All the blogs are interesting, but google seems to be more relevant than anything. I did not know all those things about google before and I enjoyed learning some of the fun stuff, like the pac-man google logo game. I spent more than a day looking through all the google stuff, there was so much there and so many hilarious little things. I clearly remember reading about google putting camera head gear on kangaroos so they can get a street view for the Australian outback. The google exploring did not even feel like an assignment, more like us goofing off, only we were being productive.
ReplyDelete1) I think the one about the tablets is my favorite blog from this year. I think that tablets are really cool and i really like the iPad and the Surface.
ReplyDelete1.) my favorite blog was the google love one where you type in what you love and it shows you a bunch of results the regulare google search would show you. It shows pictures, links, websites, and so much more. In my opion it is the best google search engine there is at themoment
ReplyDeleteMy favorite blog was about the James Dyson Award. The award is for a contest, in which several people will design and create a project which will benefit the world. I love this because it is very important to use our power to protect and help those in need, as well as animals and anything else we can do to make this world a better place.
ReplyDelete1. Favorite was the tablet one as it taught me about them and I had no idea what the specifications were on the new tablets.
ReplyDelete2.
What is required in specific game genres to make it interesting and flows well?
1. flying/under water movement simulator (Aero dynamics)
2. fight/war simulator (History)
3. Automotive fixing simulator. (Automotive class)
4. Chemical reaction simulator. (Science)
5. Sine wave generator. (Science)
1. My favorite blog was the "Tablet War Time." Because I thought it was interesting to see every one fight with every one. I learned more because I really didn't know that difference between the tablets.
ReplyDeleteI thought they were all the same.
Out of all the blogs we did this year, I would have to say that my favorite was All About Google. In that blog, there was a link provided that showed a ton of different Google tricks. One of my favorite tricks is the one in China, of the Google Searchbar falling into the ocean. That probably requires some serious Javascript and other codes that I probably don't even know about. This blog was a fun one - mainly because we could learn about so many Google Tricks. It did not feel like work at all. It was pure fun, and yet we were graded on it.
ReplyDelete1. My favorite blog is Tablet wars because my mom wants to get a tablet and i know what is out there, what is in our price range, how good it is and how much it is worth.
ReplyDelete2.
We Should do a blog on the useless apps.
1. Pic mixer (You take to pictures and mix them together)
2. Meatier smash 2012 (A game were you destroy the world)
3. Minecraft seed generator (This app tells you a random seed in Mincraft)
4. Mr. Apple Pie (A game were you eat apple pie and punch wild life in the face AMERICA!)
5. Awesome Scatter (A game were you scat though hell)

Delete1. My favorite blog was the one concerning the availability of social networking sites at school. I enjoyed it because I'm often conflicted while using Twitter, because some links lead to sites that are blocked. I enjoyed doing that because I like to speak my mind on topics that I'm interested in.
ReplyDelete2. What is your favorite form of mobile device? Phone, tablet, or Laptop? Why is it your favorite? What advantages do one have over the other? What is your favorite device to use in each category?
1. Without a doubt, my favorite blog was where we were tasked with discussing students learning to code in grade school. This blog allowed me to delve into viewpoints on one of my favorite activities. This blog also allowed me to contemplate the bringing of programming into the mainstream of public education.

Delete1. My favorite blog was probably the blog on Google. All the information about it was quite interesting but the best part was probably the fun parts about google and their easter eggs. I spent quite some time messing around with the different games and fun easter and learning about different Google facts.
ReplyDeleteHere is my "extended blog"-
DeleteMy favorite blog was definitely the blog on Google and its different aspects. I learned many new things about Google including the large amount of products offered by Google. They have an app for every type of productivity out there. I also found it interesting to learn about Google and the hiring side of it. It was interesting to learn about their mission and in how many places their employees are located. All the rest of the information about it was quite interesting but the best part was probably the easter eggs that google has put throughout their search bar. I spent quite some time messing around with the different games and fun easter eggs that were mentioned on the website. From protecting the search results from attacking o's, to drawing a heart on Google's grapher, I learned many new things about Google that I hadn't known before.
1. Out of all the blogs I did, the one I liked the most was the tablet war because I got a chance to see what tablet every one liked. I thought it was funny that every one was fighting over what tablet was the best. Also, that blog got the most posts with 94 posts.
ReplyDeleteTo add on, I also got a chance to look at different types of tablets. At first I didn't know much about any tablets. But after the blog I learned more about them and found out that I liked the Nexus 7 the best. I thought I would like the ipad the most, but the more I learned about the Nexus 7, the more I liked it. This blog helped me learn more about tablets and it was fun!

ReplyDelete1.)I would have to say that my favorite blog was the one about google because I still used the "funny google" now. It helps me find random funny stuff on the interwebs.
ReplyDelete2.) I think a good blog would be to take a DEEP look into Facebook. Not only would we find it easy to dive into, as most of us use facebook every or close to every day, but we would also be able to learn neat little things about the site and other little tid-bits.
My favorite blog so far has to be the James Dyson award blog. I liked that blog because it showed us how people are using technology to better peoples lives. I also liked how it made us judge for ourselves what was best for the award and the impact it would make.
ReplyDelete1. my favorite blog was the google love one where you type in what you love and it shows you a bunch of results the regulare google search would show you. It shows pictures, links, websites, and so much more. In my opion it is the best google search engine there is at themoment
ReplyDelete1. I liked the new technology blog because it showed what cool technology is here and what is probably going to be seen in the future of technology such as the prostestic arm that moves with your mind using brainwaves.I like that we may see a zero carbon sustainable city which is always nice less pollution no dependence on oil. I just like the new technologies we might be seeing in the future. I could go on and on about the cool things that are on the 3 web sites you listed all the technology was amazing.
ReplyDelete1. My favorite blog was the technology one that was done last week. I don't think I have ever put more effort willingly in any other blog. That post just amazed me, the Woolly Mammoth was something I had been waiting for since 6th grade and the Artificial Intelligence Risks had me more interested than some Steam games I play. Again anyone reading this should try out Cleverbot.com its really cool. And yeah there was just a lot more to be interested in (including the prosthetic arm thing that Sliver mentioned, kinda reminded me of Star Wars) in the post so Technology thing takes my vote.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite blog was probably Creative Searching. This was my favorite because we just had to go to the WDYL web search and look around. I enjoyed this because we search what we liked. I found some interesting thing when just looking around for a few minuets just following links. The WHDYL web search is a really good way to get lost on the internet. If you search technology you were given so much information that just lead to finding more information. Then on top of us having to search technology we also searcher something we liked which just made us find a whole lot more information.
ReplyDelete1. My favorite blog was the tablet war, it was interesting to see where other GenYES students stood on their view of tablets. It was fun to debate with them as to why your pick of tablets was the best. You could definitely see the difference between the people who did their research and the people who just liked a certain tablet. Or some of the people that commented based on personal experiences, such as me, i have a kindle fire so i know its not the greatest tablet out there just cause I've owned it for a while now.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite blog this year was the social networking in school blog. It was a good place where we all had good arguments and had some good points as to why and why not we should have social networking in school. The blog that week was also being looked at by the head honcho's of PV school districts, and it always feels good to be a part of a decision for the district, instead of just having them choose without asking the student body.
ReplyDelete1) My favorite blog this year was the new technology blog. My favorite part of GenYES has always been when we explore new technology. I am super excited to be able to mess around with the iPad and nexus 7's next year and am looking forward to my last semester of GenYES.

ReplyDelete1. My personal favorite blog was the tablet war time because we all got to pick a tablet and prove which one was better. Also ague with each other. It was fun and interesting to see what people said and commented about.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite blog of the year is ironically the last one with 23 new inventions coming up. It fascinated me so much on how the world will have such dramatic technological changes in the short years to come.
ReplyDelete1.) My favorite blog was the creative searches, its cool learning about the extras Google puts into their system.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite blog was probably the business tech one. It was interesting to hear about all of the different business jobs, their likeliness of getting hired, and their salaries. The demand for technological jobs going into the future will be high so it is important to know all of the different jobs available and how much they pay.
ReplyDelete1. My favorite blog this year was the "Big Data In Your Blood" because i am fascinated by that type of technology. I believe the idea that all your body's functions can be monitored by a little stretchable electronic device.
ReplyDelete1. My favorite blog was the Dyson Awards blog, because we got to read all of these interesting new technologies that could help people have easier lives. There were so many interesting and new technologies and it was crazy to think that we are becoming so creative in the technological industry.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite blog this year is probably All About Google because i learned a lot of really cool information I didn't know about google and i also learned a lot of cool tricks.
ReplyDeleteMY favorite blog was the tablet war because we had a chance to give our opinion on our favorite tablet and compare them with other opinions it it was a good blog and probably one of the funest
ReplyDeleteOver all the blogs this year my vote is the last blog we did "New Technology". I loved it because it told me about what I could possibly be looking forward to in the next 30 years. The under water resort and the cloning of the mammoth made me grin ear to ear. Just to think we might have species of animals that were completely gone and haven't been on earth for millions of years.
ReplyDeleteoverall the blogs i choose Creative searching do to the points it gives you to do someing so simple as to answering questions I like how it has something to do with google and web browesing.
ReplyDelete1) My favorite blog was the James Dyson awards blog. I liked it because we got to see tons of cool innovations and inventions, and we got to share which ones we thought would win.
ReplyDeleteOut of all the blogs, I would have to chose the James Dyson Awards Blog. (NO I'm not copying Spungbab) Anyway I really liked all the amazing inventions people were creating to help our world. Like a portable washing machine powered by yourself, No electricity or the care package invention that would help people that were stuck in natural disasters.
ReplyDeleteThe blog I liked most would have to be The Just Google one. I liked this because it showed us how to do more things with Google and I actually learned things from that blog that I didn't learn while doing the Google QUAD Project. I thought that this was the best blog because it taught kids some things about Google that they didn't know including me.
ReplyDeleteCarsen Vaughn
I really enjoyed the James Dyson Award. The ideas were a blast to look at as well as thinking about all the good each one could do. I thought that blog was a great one in the sense that it made me feel important in the decision making process.
ReplyDelete1: I really liked the S11 one about laptop designs on
ReplyDeleteSunday, April 22, 2012 I really liked the slick designs of some
of the laptops and the blog in general. The links showed us some
really cool designs and futuristic designs!
1. Hands down my favorite blog this quarter was the google one, where we learned all the different tips and tricks on using google browsers and software. We went through many different cool little jokes, for example when we learned that if you ask google what the meaning of life is it will give you 42.
ReplyDelete1.) I liked the "All About Google" blog because it was fun to explore all of the many different Google products and gadgets. There were so many things to explore.
ReplyDelete1. I liked the "Data in your blood" because it was a very interesting post and I have never thought about something like that. It would be a lot easier than getting data out of you in general.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite blog was the Tablet war time because you got to do some research about the different types of tablets and learn about their features. This gave me an opportunity to become educated on a device that I may be interested in having some day for myself.
