Gamification


Part 1:  List 2 choices for games to purchase from Amazon for the media center.  Provide the name of your game followed by the Amazon links for each.  Remember be appropriate, no FPS, no games that are M/ T /Violence, no, no playstation because we don't have one!  Only 2 games!  What your favs for this type of play for XBox or wii? 


Part 2:  Finish the discussion on Gamification by going to the Assignment Website.   Answer the 2  questions there and submit.

    Options for the Xbox games you could possibly purchase.
    1) Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7, because it's entertaining and not too expensive. It could help students interact with one another using problem solving skills to make it through the world of Harry Potter! http://goo.gl/21Avo

    well the game we pick should be playable by four students, it needs to be a game well enjoyed that all types of students will want to play.

    1. My first choice is PORTAL 2! for being an awesome game and it is educational, puzzle wise. My second choice would be Skyrim. It has strategy, problem solving, and books that you can actually read.

    1. I think we should purchase Assassins Creed 3 and UFC Undisputed 3. In both games you can shut off the blood and isnt too violent.

    1 FIFA 13. A lot of people like soccer and a lot of people like soccer games. FIFA would be a well played game by our school.
    2 NHL 13 Hockey is a cool sport and it would be a nice addition o the game collection.

    1. Fifa 13 would be a great choice, because soccer is a big sport at this school and you can learn all about it through the game and kids would enjoy it.
    2. Since we have some hockey players at this school that do not play here, we could get NHL 13, because most of the kids here support the coyotes and would enjoy playing it.

    1. Madden 13 is a game that many people would get because lots of people like football and the foot ball teem likes to play that game before the practice .

    2. I also like mind craft for the xbox360 because it definitely is good for people who like to graphic design and structural learning.

    1. I would recommend for the wii, a nice racing game like Mario Kart or if we already have that, then I would go for New Super Mario Bros Wii.

    2. For an Xbox game since we already own a few of the madden games, I would recommend Fifa street, it's a great game,and it's fun.

    1. Portal and/or Portal 2 for PC. It's an awesome game that makes you think and solve its many puzzles ("Tests" the game calls them).

    2. Minecraft would do well also because it inspires creativity, problem solving, and survival.

      Grand Theft Auto has a reputation of inappropriate content. I am sure that GTA V isn't going to be rated "E" or even "T".

In my opinions the ideas that this game poses are beyond the normal spectrum for video games. The symbolism it has is enough to rival any novel if not doing a better job. I think that if a class were to study a video game instead of a piece of literature this could be worth taking a look at.
